Cheers for the thoughts guys, really good of ya.Well what to say, just sat through the most frustrating 1 1/2 hours ever, they told us nothing we didnt already knowWouldnt give us any numbers/shift structures anything though did promise to have it done and dusted within a couple of weeks, they did admit that there was to be redundancies (which we and the rest of the town already knew).I guess theres a process to be followed and thats all there is to it,just thought that since this has been on the cards since October that they may well have been further down the track with sorting it out.Guess its just a few more weeks of hoping for the best eh,best get my bum out on the bike just in case.

Be the person your dog thinks you are...
hope you can hang onto it matey...
i remember the day i sold my XJ900... as they were riding away with it, i knew i had made a mistake...
and less than 2 weeks later... wow
a shinny new 1972 CB350/4......
what a ride so far!!!!
It must be hard to be left hanging in limbo for a few more weeks. Good luck; hopefully it will turn out well for you and your gorgeous TLS.
Cheers mate, pretty strange thing after 37 years riding and about the same in bikes owned to get attached to a bike so much, specially one thats coming up 11 years oldNo doubt there will be many more in the future but fact is my plans are/were to own the old S until i could no longer ride the thing,it would be easy enough to i guess buy another but ive owned the thing since near new and besides all the stuff on it i could replace (at mucho $) theres stuff that i simply cant replace as they were made in one off batches of 30 and sold to other nutters like me around the world, madness im sure but a madness i particularly enjoy.

Have to agree with the others bro. Don't sell it. The return for outlay would be the least of all your toys surely.
Don't sell it mate... its your pride and joy, you have spent many hours, and $$$ to get it to where it is now...
Selling it is only a short term fix when times get tuff... and then when times are good it takes longer to get it back in the saddle for an bike...
I am sure there would be other things you could sell that aren't wanted, to help... computer... stop internet (no kb), sell your soul...
If you do sell it you will regrett it... (been there done that and I did regret it)
hey Mike .. just catching up on threads hon .. dunna sell the old girl .. she is your other half .. the better half that is ..
tough times out there for a lot of ppl .. thinking of ya mate![]()

Have toKarma ... Justice catches up eventually !!
Got to agree with everyone else on this. Don't sell the TL, you've spend time and money creating the bike you want and if you sell all your doing is throwing all that away plus as you know you'll never get anything like what its really worth. Keep it. How about looking instead at your other vehicles and work out what you really have them for, like if its not being used 90% of the time do you really need it ? A few years ago I had a bad period on the dole and sold a bike and strange tho it seems although I've got another bike I still miss the old one (is that weird or what). Anyway all the best and hope everything turns out OK for you Mike. Arn't you close to retirement anyway !

A arse of a situation.
I'd like to say if it was mine, I'd put on a mini-skirt, wax my chest and stand on a street corner offering $10 hand-jobs before I sold it. (WTF is a hand-job worth these days?????).
But
If you have kids - you sell what ever you can to keep them in clothes and food.
Hopefully it won't be necessary.
$ wise $8k minimum - dealers sell ratty ones for $8.
