I read about that yesterday, I loled! How can an 1125 twin race with 600's! what a crock of shit!

    Buell 1125R STD spec
    Torque 82 ft. lbs. @ 8000 RPM
    Horsepower 146 HP @ 9800 RPM

Compare that with any of the current Japa 4's, no wonder he had a lead of 6 seconds!

    GG DMG GG!

    That's a sad set up in the States. I can see the 600 4's competing with 675 triples, but 848 Ducati's , 1000 'prila's, and 1125 Buell's? Seriously fucked up.

yeah there seams to be some snide reamarks between place 1 and place 2 also.

'Eslick's margin of victory was 2.5 seconds, but the gap was about six seconds before he slowed down to do his victory wheelie across the line.

Top finishers Eslick and Hacking were taking little jabs at each other in the post-race press conference. After the question was asked about what would it take to beat the Buell, Hacking commented that the biggest middleweight Kawasaki has is a 636, clearly making reference to the large displacement Buell.

Then Eslick jumped in and made mention of all the other Buells in the field that didn't finish up with them, effectively saying it wasn't as much the bike.'

maido - it allows certian make/models aka rsvr1000 are allowed to race and a few other twins.

Wonder it isn't a 'world championship'.

It's a bad report huh. made me assume a 'historic win' (even with a typo in the headline) would be against comparable capacity machines.
It's like they left them off on poipoise.

The 1125s have done OK in the Streetbike classes.

Eslick can motor that buell. i think at places it holds a certain edge but not everywhere. i like the idea of a range of bikes competing. the buell didn't win at daytona so its obviously not impossible to beat.

The class forces you to keep the bikes quite stock so it should be interesting to watch develop.

Interesting to note that Jamie Hacking has been subsequently banned after airing his comments regarding both the Buell and DeSalvo atr the press conference!
