TNSCSR (The not so cruisey Sunday ride)

Hey fellow Wellingtonions.... how about a thread dedicated to organising a Sunday ride.

Providing the Weather is good, meeting at the usuall Duckpond for a 10:30 departure.

That way those who can come will know where to meet......

If not suitable then state a place a time and place on this forum for others to see and join in.. maybe a route for the late comers?

    Your thoughts??

    Can't see why not.

Seems like a good idea, now the Wednesday rides are at an end. I'd do my best to be a part of a Sunday ride where possible.

10:30? Sheesh, the best part of the day is already over.

10.30 is a far more reasonable and do able time for me than the other sunday rides leave time of sparrow fart. I ain't no speed demon but am happy as larry to bring up the rear and spend the day playing catch up - so when I can swing it can I come tag along despite my slowness?

    8.30am is more like it.
That time means I have a good ride with a lot less traffic and some of the afternoon is left to other stuff. Last weekend the bike was being loaded onto the back of a rescue truck and others were just starting out.

Tomorrow I will see if the bike gets over the Takas without breaking down.
    Here for the ride.

Good of me to start a thread and not even turn up....
I got stuck in wanganui flying model planes riding horses and drinking coffee.
Oh well at least I was riding something.

Easter weekend next weekend, Ill probably be working or at the omaka airshow in blenheim.

Will try to do the sunday after that.

4 of us waited at Rimutex this morning... I thought I has my wires crossed and it was supposed to be another Sunday of the week.

Anyway, we rode over the takas with some freaky winds.... even more freaky on the way back later today. Didn't quite remove the chicken strips on the PR2s... need calmer weather for that (not into being blown across the road whilst on a good lean angle - slightly dangerous).

The crash bungs tested well today... not on the road, but as my surrogate cruiser footpegs / calf rests. All I need is me apehangers.

Yeah, I didn't ride the Rimu but wind was bad yesterday. I don't like leaning into the corner just to be blown off by wind, i.e. fail my line. Otherwise, my mate on his CBR just lean like there's no tomorrow. God Bless.

Wow! who says men can't multi task? although I have to ask....do you ever crash the plane or spill your coffee while the horse is moving?
