    FXR's all fixed

back in november at the 2 hour my co rider parked it in the grass and that was the end of that .It took me till a week before the feb meet at mt wellington to put it in the shop becouse it dident go .
Half an hour after starting it and seting the timing[ i played with] he found that the rings where melted into the piston .
So of to find a piston kit SRS had them listed for $230- so a click here and there later they had sold out and it would be 10 days before the new lot get here.
They got to spectrum on monday i rang today and its ready to go and only $279- for original job
    strip down
    [head job]
    the refit
    and get it to run
just have to run it in and then try and kill it again

note to self get more piston and gasket kits asap

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

My fxr forks are getting straightened at the moment and should be finished by Monday! Same for my clip ons! Then I just weld up some mounts for nylons on the frame and then I am in business!

FXRs are great little buckets! Hope to see you Easter weekend!
