"Power Ranger" suit colours are not the best of looks on the road. But then again, neither are tassels...

Me thinks ewe have bitten off a bit more than is chewable here.
Anyone who gave a damn about the colour of their 1 piece racing suit over it's ability to protect them is a bigger fool than the guy who worreis about how they look on others.
I would not hesitate to take a screaming fluro Pink suit if it was the best one I could afford and came off the peg.
If you've ever come off, or come very very close to coming off and realsed how much of you was about to come off too you;d have a different opinion I think.

Am I correct in assuming that to be in a situation where one needs a garment to withstand a lot of slide seconds one would be going like a bat out of hell in the first place? Personally I don't care what other people wear or don't wear - just interested in the reasons. Anyone got a kph to slide seconds required ratio and how many more slide seconds leather will give you over cordura?

So you mean that just because a person was riding a GN, they must be a crappy rider? I would agree with you if you had said it depends on how fast the bike is, but judging a rider's skill by what he/she rides is a bit prejudiced. I mean, it could even be that his regular bike is in the workshop and the GN is just a loaner.

Yup that'd would be a fair call.
No haven't seen a ratio for it, seems to be the general consensus on KB that its the case though so it must be true
In my brief time on bikes and the 2 bins I personally prefer leather gears for road use, undo the little zips to get abit of airflow during the summer, work well if you do happen to nudge the road and of course ppl tend to keep there distance just the little bit more at the gas station

Thats Exactly what I'm saying. I just happened to see said chappie going down Vic st in Hamilton and it struck me as funny. Didnt really dwell on whether their normal ride was a turbo 'busa in getting work done or something.
Yes your right though, gear should equal the bike if you know what I mean.

    So now we know...

There was a recent thread where cyclists got the bash. That was followed in short order by a thread attacking riders. I was wondering who'd be next.

OK, so this time it's the one piece leathers crowd?

    Who's next and ?

I know i feel a F***load safer in my power-ranger suit, and yet somehow, mysteriously, i don't find my self attracted to other men.

Interesting that you somehow associate sexual prefernce with ones attire. I was unaware donning an item of clothing determines your sexualty. Perhaps YOU are the person i say TEXTING whilst riding a harley in jandals, stubbies, singlet and novelty german stormtrooper helmet?

To answer the question asked earlier. Over the years Ive crashed at high (200km plus ) and low 50 ish km/h (on the track ) and there aint a direct corolation between speed and the level of gravel rash inflicted/
