Manawatu weekend rides

went for a play out alfredton way yesterday road is in pretty good nick .. just the odd gravel on a few corners to watch ... not to mention the mob of sheep being moved without adaquate warning (the buell turned one into lamb chops)

then went for a play around gladstone, carterton area .. good roads & scenery from water tower road is worth looking at on a nice clear day .. btw that is the road they use for hill climb sprints in march every yr .. interesting road

oh yeah the tight right hand bend (35k corner) after the bridge on ya way to Pahiatua says no road markings .. but its new seal along with no road markings just about caught a few out yesterday

however good thing was a definate lack of traffic on those roads

east would prob be better than west .. unless you stick to the back roads

Yeah spotted him (although I did'nt know it was him per se) humming along he was too. While we were at Pongaroa a whole bunch of guys turn up from Wellywood on their way to Havelock North, there was a gentleman you have previously met via the Concours site, running a Two Brothers exhaust and a really tall screen and 2 inch bar riser's!

Think I know the guy you're talking about (met the odd Connie rider now). About to go for a ride shortly. Probably Mangamire then back roads to Masterton. Getting the Connie out as the Honda's battery appears to be deceased...

I doubt it. He said he wouldn't keep me any longer and post the ticket out. I may get lucky, but I won't hold my breath. I was guilty after all!

So do we say as before 9 am BLUNT Ashhurst mobil hatch a plan from there? Who's keen? How big or small will be decidid then.

Not sure if ill ride tomorrow, see what the day brings, be a good idea to stay well away from the main roads though with the easter traffic all returning home
