Yes, he would stay if someone further up the chain was removed. Its that simple.

Submit nominations for CEO, those putting their name forward should have intimate and up to date knowledge of motorcycles and motorcycle racing. And being a team player and respecting the work of the democratically appointed road race commissioner would be a bonus. Also having respect for the amount of money the manufacturers distributors put into the various codes would be a gracious thing to do, its considerably more than peanuts. If we didnt have their input ( which must never be taken for granted) the various series would be little better than club racing. Im not knocking club racing, but national formula is the elite.

I dont want to be rude Robert , but im going to anyhow....

Are you in a position to comment for Paul Stewart and if so can you quantify it. ?
Is the reason Paul is leaving only because of Pav and the way he steers the ship.?
Pav is an absolute pillock and always was when i raced with him in the 80s etc but im sure he has the best of intentions ( even if a little biased)

One question i have always wanted answered is , "why do we need MNZ for the bulk of N.Z. racing as its simply club based and as such can ( as proved before ) run a very good event or series as a stand alone entity .

I reflect on the ACU days but im just an old fart and did what i was told to do back then . Has that really changed now its a democracy organisation ?

    Paul.

    Paul.
I have a cordial relationship with Paul Stewart as do many in the industry. He was balancing over 4 figures in unpaid hours per annum acting as road race commissioner, on top of a very demanding day job. It would have helped a lot if he didnt have to put up with constant obstructive inteference from above and thats just the tip of the iceberg. The constitution of MNZ gave him a brief and that was being interfered with in a very autocratic manner. I dont blame him for walking but it is very sad to see him go, and scant thanks he had for it.
We do need MNZ as a governing body, it needs good people that are team players, not autocrats.

Having seen the job description, I am left absolutely gobsmacked that it is an unpaid position!!!

After reading it, I think Paul Stewart should be congratulated for his monumental efforts in doing what he did!!
I can guarantee that there wouldn't be a single person on here that would do 10% of the bullshit that Paul did for free. The amount of his unpaid time for our enjoyment was HUGE.
I now stand corrected, and would like to thank Paul Stewart for his time.
