    Awesome

    Thanksfor the photo's, they're beauties!!!!!!

I agree Dangerous, can't beat the sound and grace of old school, I live under a flight path of sorts..
I feel blessed when I catch the stunts overhead in the Summer Evenings.
Quite often the Harvards, p51 Mustangs and Corsairs go by, they sound awesome!!!

Achievement is not always success while reputed failure often is. It is honest endeavor, persistent effort to do the best possible under any and all circumstances.

It's the Venom with the cartridge start, Dangerous
The Vampire has a starter/generator (two of them live at NP)

farking wicked sound those engines make, like no other jet aye... The Goblin jet was a centrifugal compressor design, as against the axial flow compressors of later jet engine designs, the noise of the air undergoing compression, is why the Vampire sounds like it does.

Thanks for putting the pictures up. I was there a few years ago and I loved every minute of the show, but I must admit my heart was with the old biplanes & triplanes. I'm a sucker for those oldies.

    .

Charming...we rode from all over New Zealand with just a few weeks notice to ride out of the Bristol...and we outnumbered the motorcycles.

My friends father has one in the garage up at Dairy Flat. Zero hours on the airframe and minimal time on the wings/tail booms etc. He is a turbine specialist and is going through the process of completely stripping and rebuilding the engine at the moment. It's a single seater, ex swiss air force. I think they are aiming to have it done and ready to fly within 10 years.
