Laxed out rides

I'll probably do the Coro tomorrow, if any one is interested. Normally meet up with a couple of friends at BP in Ngaruawahia - does 9 am sound good, any one interested in tagging along?
We're not fast riders, but don't stop every 5 minutes either. Happy to wait for slower riders at given points.
Lunch at Coromandel, cupa tea at Whangamata?

Did a lap today Awesome weather in the end, roads all good ... watch shaded spots slippery in areas did'nt see any at all

I don't ride that fast, you'll be OK, I've ridden with you before
If I feel like cutting loose on the windies, then afterwards I'll slow up and wait for others to catch up, likewise if anyone else feels a bit keen they'll slow up.

Shinkos' ???? I'd save up and get some real tyres if I were you, I've heard nothing but horror stories about shinkos'
When you're ridding a motorbike there's so much that can go a bit pear shaped, your tyres are one of the most important factors, and often the difference, in getting things back under control or wiping off

If I had to clean out my house to symbolise the removal of all my sins, I'd be left with 1/2 a jar of strawberry jam, and a broken radio.

ahhh but youll use the jam for sinfull things(acts) so out that goes,
and you use to listen to heavymetal and rick james on the broken radio so out that goes, shit you'll have one mighty clean and empty house, at least youll still have fatty

It was Malcolm on his CB600R (thats what I'm calling it)

The CBR600R with the 'clip-on's removed and bars fitted, he's modified the fairing so it's still got enough lock

The ride was a bit frustrating with so much holiday traffic, poor Leyton on his 250 having to try to wind that bike up to get passed
But nice to be out on the road, none the less.

Even SH22 was a bum breaker yesterday...mind you I was pretty tired before I started - probably should have stayed home but that is planned for today. It was blowing like hell up on the ridges and the road seemed interminable. I got slower and slower as I got further north...more fun coming home round the back of Lake Waikare though...oh and they charged me $3.80 for a long black in Tuakau...public holiday surcharge huh..?

$3.80 sounds good I paid like $4.50c for a ginger bear in the Coro

I will wash my bike (Named Lucy) today... have lots of bugs and crank case vent goop to clean off the feirings, Not to mention the free fuel I wasted down the side of my tank :/

Well I finalised the mounting of the Stebel Magnum today...finally...and went for a wee pootle round one of my local loops. BUT I did clean the bike before I left...prolly should have been after I came back actually...

my shinko 003's were all good on my motard, they just didn't like white line.
even in the wet they were ok

I get away with riding to the conditions and that includes the tyres

Riding my bike is a recreational activity, I don't use it for work or commuting so I don't worry about the economy of my tyres as much
For me; the better the tyre the more I enjoy riding, why scrimp on the rubber if you're only using it for the pure enjoyment of riding?

So it's a matter of the best tyre for my riding style (or lack of style), for the type of roads I frequent, and the type of bike I ride

At the moment my preference is Conti Sport Attacks - only got 3500ks from the last pair - but what a blast it was killing them - peace of mind
