I think you are confusing balancing with straightening

You were very brave taking that rolling wreck to 110

Well I've finally managed to drag my arse out of bed and wrap my quivering lips around a coffee.
The world is starting to come back into focus.

Great day out everyone, I just love riding tracks like those around Orongorongo.

I didn't get many pics and most of them are of the scenery

I'll comment more later, but basically, am stiff as hell in my neck on left side and right shoulder and lower back and on the Voltaren with Paracetamol chaser - not feelin great you might say!
And only now just gettin some dinner as have been besieged by kids and a visitor!
And the DR looks like a train wreck!

make sure you go get a quacks opinion tomorrow,if for no other reason than to cover yourself under ACC if you have issues later.. good effort! no need to treat that new bike carefully now!... not that you were

Looks like a great ride chaps. I spent the weekend with the whanau in Hanmer (including a soon to be hardcore adv rider Woody2) & watched bikes roll past all weekend

I am gonna def book a ferry over & cruise around your backyar with Woody2 & his dogrooter. Will try to make it when there is another good local ride organised.

Think the healight and shroud should be sortable but the bars are pretty damn bent on the left side! Indicators easily sorted, reg plate easily sorted and the tank STILL isn't dented - god knows how! And how I didn't destroy another mirror in that wreck is beyond me! Headlight is cracked but still working at least!

Not bad at all. Now I don't feel so bad about shredding the KLRs engine shroud on the scree slope the first time we went around there. (and scratching just about every other panel on the bike)

Firstly thanks to everyone for their support after the crash - one of the things about going out for these rides is the fact that the guys that go are such great blokes (and ladies, sozz Jen!) - have already had two offers of help to fix bike - awesome mates - cheers guys!

As usual thx also to all who took photos for a record of a wonderful day out on great tracks and scenery; crash aside I had a wicked day as I think everyone did AND we have totally converted Jen to adv riding - woohoo!

With crashing comes experience, remember this fact every time you have an off.
Babe Ruth not only held the record for hitting home runs, he also had the record for strikeouts.
Well it makes me feel better about crashing, glass half full etc.
