Hmmm, anyone hear from Flynn at all? Left him on his merry way at Ormondville.

I showed KiwiKat some more backroads. We had a late lunch at Patangata, Elsthorpe to Havelock North to see the folks and then a detour back home. Got home about half an hour ago.

Cheers John for the cuppa. Your old man certainly has some great tails to tell. Picked up KKs sunnies ok.

Just under 10hrs out for me today. Absolutely magic. Thanks Flynn & Bonez for setting up the day. An interesting tale came from John's dad about Harleys and headlights falling out when they hit bumps. (Don't get too close to Horse.)

Fantastic roads, exceptional company. Patangata rocks.

The way he told it was quite humourous. Also the one about the bike with a neutral between each gear.

I pulled up just as you were about to leave. it was a good day for a ride in the Bay.
Tis a Yamahahahaha G. Just thrash it like you stole it. Gixxer 4 ever
It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever

Certainly was alright. Sorry I didn't stay a bit longer. Fuelling up at Havelock a wee voice said "Bonezyyyy" Turned around and it was Bruce from AFC motorcycles and his partner on their ZX14.

Arrived safe and sound in Dunners. Great to be back, it hasn't changed much in 30 odd years, apart from a motorway or two

Great ride down from Te Anau via the Southern Scenic route. Took in Invergiggle, Bluff and the Catlins!

Now, that road is another piece of motorcycling nirvana, try it if you can!

Sorry Meanie, they'd rubbed off your artwork at the Eagle, tried tho

Weather's been great so far, bit of wind today and a spot of rain but nothing at all major.

Road conditions - couldn't be better

In true Ashhurst fashion we left late, Bobbie on Norman, Fasttrax on the scropio, Bonez on the Bonezmobile and Fasttrax's son on the back of the 9. His first time being pillion I thought I better be a little bit nice to him as I was unsure how he would react to being on the back of the bike. Took a few ks and he sorted out how to sit comfortably and we called into Pie-A-2-A to meet up with NZSarge before heading out to Pongaroa.
Tradition was held as we took a detour from the planned route and made our way to Pongaroa. Roads were really nice and pace was suited to a nice afternoon in the sun.
Had some lunch and decided to skip wimbilton and head out to Weber.
Took Great Greta rd? as another detour which was very pleasent in to Dannivegas for more smoke stops before heading home for movies and dinner. Nice day out. Cheers to NZSarge, fasttrax, Bonez and of course Mrs C.
PS. Can see Josh getting a bike in the near future. He was quite taken with the 9.....

Pics coming. Got quite a few on the move which come out quite good.
Yeah it was a really enjoyable ride - loved the roads. Josh really enjoyed the ride - thanks Cowboy and Mrs Cowboys. Great day out thanks everyone
