    Hope he's OK Sarge?

Made it to Kaikoura! The place is humming, as it seems is the whole Island.

Departed Reefton this am after some discussion on the best route. Noth West looking very wet so we decided on the Lewis Pass. Great ride, about 1/2 hr rain on the western side but clear as soon as we got through to the east

Lunch at Hamner Springs (rockin) then on to Kaikoura. The Buell suffered a puncture but no worries, all sorted in 10 mins.

We're now cruising the town looking for a steak! Beef - not whale I may add
It's only Rock and Roll but I like it

This is one very, very cool town! An old gold mining location that's been restored and is up and running very nicely.

We're staying at the 'Old Nurses Home' now a backpackers and just the bee's knees

Had a great couple of days motorcycling. Dunedin was amazing, so many memories and we made Geraldine last night. Bit of a slow haul up SH1 to get there but a really hot day!

In fact, the weather has been awesome for almost the whole trip!

Amazing ride through Arthurs Pass today, got ton's of pics of the whole trip in fact and will post em when we get back.

Cheers guys, will pass on the well wishes.
Fairly serious op by all accounts, worst case he'll end up in a wheelchair but the Doc said 99% chance all will be well.
Cutting through muscle tissue at the shoulder/trapezius (sp) hight in the back to get to the spine where they will remove a couple of spurs that are putting pressure on his spinal cord the boring out the spinal column where there is swelling of the spinal chord in order to relieve pressure at that point.
There ya go, that's it in a nut shell, piece of cake.
Will post when I hear something.
