Pretty poor really - we went right past the turn-off to Te Anau too. It would only have added something like 400km to your day...
Not much at all really![]()
It's only Rock and Roll but I like it
About 1.6 lattes to do the Milford Rd return. A bargain when looked at in those terms![]()

Hell, where did you find them? Raid a camper van?
There is actually a cafe at Milford which shuts at 4.30. We arrived at 4.31 and made our own (packet and thermos)![]()

Wow, just read your awesome trip report, thanks for sharing.
Funny thing about the shop that closes at a given time, we had the same on our East Cape ride last year. We were booked in and paying guests at The Tologa Bay Inn. Arrived a bit late in the arvo for lunch, but before the cafe closed. Went to get a toasty or something, nope, the grill is off. So we went to the bar for a snack (same kitchen)ok then we will have some crisps, nope got none. OK best you pour me another wine to take the edge off till the kitchen opens again

Monamie, you're the best girl ever and I'm honoured to have shared such a wonderful experience with you
And you my dear have my heart. You are a very special man and I am so happy I have you in my life
Well , I really enjoyed that write up thank you, I felt like I was there riding with you for some of that, a bit heavy on the latte consumption for me though, 1 coffee 3 wees at my age, I'd never get any riding done.
Great report and what a lovely couple, may you have many more special times together.![]()
Oh bugger
Fantastic report Al and loved Monamie's extras! I'm filled with envy.![]()
