Question Bike #1 just died, what to do?

before I got my gn250 i bought a kawasaki gpz400r racing bike. the problem is the piece of metal that holds the gear selector shaft has some how snapped! its only done 18000ks and i was wondering if i should just scrap it or attempt to fix it. its in pretty sad condition eg, the fairing does no longer exist because a previos owner dropped it. its a 1986 which is probably not worth fixing but ya never know.

Guess you should ask yourself how much you love it. There are some mighty clever people out there that could fix it for you at a good price, but i'm not sure exactly what peice of metal you're talking about, a picture would be good.
