Thats all my point is, I didn't think it was an argument.

I pop it back down well before it get's down to 50-60kmph dude! (like at 80 - 100kmph) I'm not that good to be able to to keep going till you get down to 50kmph from 140kmph! That would be a very long stoppie and it's out of my skill level ATM.

Even when there is a car behind you, all you do is calculate the speed you need to accelerate to and the distance you need to gain between you and the car behind you.

1) You negotiate the velocity of the vehicle you are doing it infront of.
2) If it's approx 100kmph or lower, only then is it safe to do this manuver.
3) Create a distance between you and the car of say about 150m atleast.
4) Accelerate to a launch speed of atleast 140kmph so the car doesn't creep up behind you.
5) Pull the back wheel up as quick as you can.
6) While you are rolling on the front wheel, keep an eye on how much slower you are starting to go.
7) Usually when I do it, I land it at about 90kmph - 100kmph. The 150m is just a generous margin for human error. Even after compleating the manuvor, you actually end up further ahead than your starting distance (before you accelerated to 140kmph) in comparision to the car behind you, if done right.

So in theory I wouldn't really be holding anyone up by doing the above unless they were speeding but then if that was the case, I wouldn't do it in the first place. Now that you have explained the speeds you were assuming in the sinario, I can see where you are coming from. I totaly understand your point bro. I can assure you, non of my stoppies on the motorway are that slow.

I failed every other subject in school but I was right at the top of my class for Maths and Physics. This shit comes in handy for what I love to do on bikes.

found out last night that with the few mods on the 636, I should be able to power off the gas in second, so looking forward to it! But the bike still isn't quite road ready yet.. not that that hasn't stopped me or other s before.. I'll think on it..

I tried one today, fuck it scares me eh. I started trying to do stand ups a couple of nights ago.. As soon as I stand up to a decent body position, the right hand instantly shuts it off. I quite like the feeling you get through your body when you hug the bike in seating position. It's like, you know exactly what the bike's doing by feeling it through your body (without sounding too rude). When you stand up, it feels as though you are seperated from the bike and you can't feel much. But people do em no sweat so it's all in my head and I gotta figure out how to deal with it.

I've been browsing on www.stuntlife.com lately and been getting some good pointers.

Cheers for the offer Glen, Allun. I am mearly one of the smaller playas in the show on Saturday and I wasn't even supposed to mention anything about it on the open forum (oooops! Boy is my face red lol). I just didn't know that, till later. They wana keep it low key for obvious reasons. They have all the camera and support crew etc sorted for then.

BUT!

For another weekend, another time, I'll definetly let you know for camera work! I guess we could try some at night (tomorrow or Fri) but the picture quality in the dark will be pretty shit I'd imagine..

Bugger it, ill come along for a look. Might even pop a few at the lights if i get the chance. My second gear lifts have been getting good, but 2nd gear keeps slipping which makes it near impossible to hold it up.

I took a 636 same as yours Kit for a night while mine was getting serviced and far out those things lift the wheel damn easy. It is easier to lift the front on the 636 than what it was on the CBR1000RR.
