Thread: Any car people on here ?

  1. #16
I just picked up a 1989 Subaru Omega GT for my daughter - 65,000 original KM.Last time I changed the oil was in 2002,and there is still 1,000km to go.It's as imaculate as you can get an '89 car....the back seat has never been sat in.A good deal for $1,000 I reckon.

They only got $150 for their Commodore after hitting a bank, you can't even sell them for parts....because no one wants parts for Commodore's if they never break down.I shoulda got the motor for my Pajero....

    Duuuuuuuuude.

I read up to ZX6 and SS and stopped reading. Dont get eather, do you want everyone to think you are a damn copper???

Lets face it the kiwi idea of a cool car is a family saloon with a big engine. Where's the style, come on all you sheep farmers, this country has been established enough now to have some class, or at least have some idea of aesthetics.

Get an Audi they are mint. Dont wast your money on sad middle aged mans car.

    Tom

PS did you know a box standard mini copper S is faster round Puke than a (so called) V8 super car... Would love to know what they would be like if they hadnt banned all the compatition, or maybe thats the point, the Holdens and Fords are no competition....

Ive got an R32 GTR Skyline in the garage that i have had for 6 years which would leave an SS or XR6 way behind in both power and handling...if you go way back to 89/90 the Skyline made the v8s look pretty stupid at Bathurst but thats not really an issue...am tired of a two door car and then theres the fact that you cant leave it anywere as badges go missing and twice now its been coined by wankers for what reason i dont now.i just want something a bit bigger and remember my V8 days with fondness hence i wouldnt mind a big old lazy 8 or maybe the XR6.whoever said in a previous post about them being for middleaged/old people.....fine as that is exactly what i am....

oh just forgot i think there will be some sort of hidden costs besides paying the difference on what the previous owners owed, so best to check the cars out with AA. but if you dont wanna try turners or that other place then its probably better to look at car dealers out of auckland, seems to be cheaper.
