But Cath- you're not a bitch. Or a 'femist'. whatever that is.
I think that poor, feeble Indy meant to say that he doesn't like feminist bitches, but possibly does like non feminist bitches, and feminists who are not bitches.
Am I right?
The world is my oxter
That is how a woman carries herself, and deals with life. It would be lovely if this were the norm...

They're not happy with the double standard they've enforced, they have to make certain their point is driven home by these sort of stunts, done only to point out their "superiority" and make sure these double standards are kept that way.
Please don't start the whole woman not being equal to men arguement (again, not you cath). It's like the old Apartheid in SA or the treaty farce here... Completely reversing the situation because of transgressions of generations past, does not necessarily fix the matter or make it ok for the present generation. Fuck, there is no matter, I don't see any discriminations at the moment? All my managers at work are women, the prime minister is a women (allegedly), etc...
Besides, this is not about the equality of men to woman (or vice versa), I will not comment on that topic again in this thread. Read my first post again.
In the manner she was speaking, I think she did it on purpose. I think she went in there, knowing that she might have been refused service (Maybe she had heard she would be), and then went off to kick up a stink. Assert herself, thinking she was doing it for the benefit of womankind, as you said.
So, in short, what am trying to say is; it was staged.
Did you know that Rosa Parks, getting on that bus, sitting in the 'wrong' place was staged? A 'set move' to start a chain of events that was, at least in part, planned? It wasn't some random act of defiance.
I imagine this woman feels a little like Rosa now, and I actually think she was correct. The letter and spirit of the law is on her side.
She will be one of very few woman who will feel comfortable going there, let her wear her badge of pride.
Unlike Rosa's stand, going to the barber is a minor battle in a war whose outcome is already decided, at least in New Zealand.
She's no renegade, no earth shaker, she is an attention seeker. And we are giving it to her right now, history is made by those who write it. If we ignore her, she won't even rank a footnote.
I'm in full agreement.... why cant there be male barbers?? a man's style of haircut is generally different to a woman's.... she forgets there are a lot of women only things.. like Contours... where men aren't allowed... but there are "clubs" where women havent been allowed untill recently in auckland too....
i say, if you want a $10 cut.. go to just cuts or the like.... and quit stomping your feet woman.

The barber was an idiot, he should have taken the opportunity to lop her hair off.
I think your confusing those women with lesbo's, if that's the case?
Who really gives a fug? Let em get on with it, cause they ain't tarnishing the streets.
In the beginning, there was nothing. Then the Lord said: "Let there be light"...
and there was still fuck all, but at least you could see it!....
The dark cloud of "civil rights" brings out the PC umbrellas everytime.
We have a couple of women only gyms in Nelson, and I don't begrudge women for wanting to have a fitness ,where they don't think they are being perved or leered at, so in return I expect my barbershop to remain a "guys haven". Is that too much to ask?. Actually, to hell with it, next time the Mens public loos are full, I'm using the ladies.
Homer you shot the zombie Flanders !
He was a Zombie?
If a man behaves like a gentleman at all times feminism becomes moot.
Im With You On This , I Always Use The Ladies Toilets
The barber would have found it cheaper and easier to give her a really bad haircut and a full refund!!![]()
