With that last pic you all could be mistaken for Wombles
There's Uncle Bulgaria, Wellington, Orinoco and even Madam Chartlet....

Bummer about BMW binning, hope you're ok and the bandit too. Seems to have been a weekend of it.

Good on ya Bonez for showing the 600 dude what an older bike is capable of. Flatulence aside, to ride the old girls well takes some excellent skills.

Good news. Instead of sulking today because my bike doesn't work. I spent the day diagnosing what was wrong with it. Now I have a bike that works.

So on the next adventure in the series, I will definatley be a starter.

    Heyya crew,
Well my ex is AWOL so I had to stay here for my kids as against taking BMW home.
BMW is layed up in my room, so I'll be across the road on the couch looking after the kids tonight!
It is her 1st bin on the road, she is ok, has bumps and bruises and a nasty swollen hand, and no doubt a few more injuries will come to light tomorrow. Will take her home then while the kids are at school.

The rest of the ride went well, it rained a little and the road was wet for a fair way. Uncle B and I swapped bikes at one stage and I had his tapped right out at 100 kph on one straight

It was really good to meet Cowboyz and Bonez, great guys and dedicated riders to be sure

Yep, that secret road is a lot of fun, naturally I had to use those Men in Black memory erase gadgets so the guys cannot pass on the exact location The price of admission was 3.5 km's of gravel, but was decidedly worth it, talk about character! It leads on to a another road with a series of straights, as the ZX10R had more than 1000 clicks on the clock, I opened the taps, HOLLY HELL the front was coming up over the slightest bump at near redline in top, never before has 100 kmh felt so fast

I waved goodbye to Bonez, Cowboyz and Uncle B at Dvirke, and then it was off home to do the domestic Dad thing. Poor BMW, if the bike had not done enough damage to her, the home made sugilite burgers will surely have finished her off!

Anyways, apart from the unfortunate bin, the 1st Sugilite adventure went great!

Look forward to seeing you on the next one MattRSK, I did wonder why you had not shown.

Rock on Sugilite's excellent adventures round 2, It will be a Wellies, Waiarapa one and I'll be back on the 750

Excellent ride thanks Sugilite......you've got some wicked roads up there to free the spirit and open her up to 100kph ....note: will have to do some more 'touring' up that way.

Good to meet some new riders, Cowboyz, BMW & Bonez.

Even tho the road was wet for most of the way it didn't dampen the ride for me. I got to go on some primo back country roads seldom visited by the likes of us......might pay to keep them quiet Sugilite.

Ride home was very cold and the tinted visor made piloting difficult and as I was meandering my way home I got 'challenged' by a boy racer in a little white blinged out, lowered, tinted, turboed (could hear the 'pish' on gear changes) with the chromed 3 inch drain pipe out the back and what looked like last years christmas tinsel hanging from the mirror.
Anyways, he cut me off at a roundabout then passed three cars just before a blind corner.....wanker, I thought....so I slowly filtered my way through the traffic and snuck up on him as there was a long passing lane up ahead. He now knew I was there and started to winding up his toy then nailed it at the passing lane getting rid of the car he'd just been tailgating for the last 5 kays.
All I remember is wazzing past him at a great rate of knots to which he had no reply....TOASTED...big time....poor guy, I don't think he'll be telling his mates how he got completely wasted by a bike...............in third gear.

Thanks Sugilite for a great ride. Can't wait for round 2.

Hope BMW feels better soon and gets her bike sorted ready for the next ride.

Nice ride . Wimbledon Pub was my limit for the second ride in a row now. I used the same excuses as last time for not going on.

Just after the guys left on the rest of the journey the MotoGP came on Prime and I watched it with the Dutch Publican who told me a bit about the DutchGPs he went to in the sixties.

That road to the pub is shite (and not becuase it was raining either) maybe one day I'll get to do the rest as it would have to improve to justify riding to it.

BMW shame about the off. I actually though the pace was a bit fast for the conditions.

Hope you had your left arm "tied" behind you back as you went past.

I hope you ate that ride map when you got home, I'd hate for it to fall into the wrong hands

I looove it when boy racers take ya on, I wait till they reach their top speed, then waste em, it is a much more crushing defeat that way

I quite like that road! Though it does suck when it's wet, pity we did not get to it just a little sooner, it would have been dry!

For the record, I was 3rd to last in the group when the prang happened, who was setting the pace at that point?

For the particualy arrogant boy racers, I used to let the pillion reach around, take the throttle and blow them away!

this will be short and sweet cos cant type very well - hands are stuffed - went to dr - got to have xrays then he told me more bruising and body soreness will come out in next 48 hours - geez thx and he aint wrong. Thanks for all your help guys, and I survived the yummy hamburger. Slept alot and still doing so. Don't know when bike can be repaired but first things first - the bod - spose to have a week of work. Geez bugger that, hopefully weds I go back. Trouble is I'm a legal secretary - first time I've ever one finger typed! too slow.
Never hit the tarseal before - can't recommend it. Learnt my lesson and am kicking my own butt big time. Had a good ride up with Uncle B tho. Magic. Too hyped up and stuffed up.
I will be out on my bike again for sure when fixed!!
Big thanks Sugilite, and to your lovely nurses. I also owe them back their chocolate - I know the youngest nurse won't forget lol.

Good to hear you survived the hamburger! Hope the xrays show no broken bones.

I got home in time to grab the bike and pick up one of the nurses from school, looks like we have another speed freak in the family, apparently I was not going fast enough for her tastes
It is the other nurses turn tomorrow, no doubt I'll need to stop at the dairy for a chocolate top up along the way!

Close but no cigar, maybe even you have not heard of this little gem, bring the thumb screws along on your next north island trip and I may spill the beans!

well I was going to say the main haul from Dannevagas to the coast that goes through Weber unless you went further east

Deal on the releasing the whereabouts minus the thumb screws though, bit hard to use the controls & can't get the gloves on over them

Told you I was on a mission U. B - however mine ended in mission impossible. Obviously had too much sleep, actually the body seems to have seized - I wonder if this is what old age will be like?? I think the head hitting the road may have killed off a few more brain cells, can't afford to lose any more.
Will ring insurance company and see whether it is worth claiming. Dr asked me what speed I was doing - had enough brains left to think um 100 k area - aarh about 90 k. I was slowing down - just didn't mention that it was when i was kissing the tarmac!
