Getting an oil filter off an CBR250

Well I decided to change the oil filter last night (for the first time) and couldn't get the damn thing off. I have CBR pdf manual but it doesn't give any extra clues. Does anyone know if this thing has a reverse thread or a lock nut I've missed?

Managed to break of the 1/4 inch adapters trying to get the thing off. Ill have to use an impact driver next...

    Any suggestions?

I don't remember it being very hard. I'm pretty sure it is a standard thread, not reverse. Are you sure you're thinking of the thread direction from under-neath? The thread is up-side down yeah so appears to be the wrong way?

Yeh I made the thread direction mistake with the oil drain screw first, so had the direction sorted after that. Good to know its been off before! Will have to give it another go with some better tools later
    Cheers
