I do my best wheelies when I'm drunk and stoned.

But I rarely play tourist trophy when I'm straight.

Isn't it considered "risky" riding in the first place? Last thing I would need is something to fuck with my cordination.

One if I'm riding. Usaully give it the hour to wear off too. Back home if we had a party and we got way to pissed, we'd just pass out where we were and then head home in the morning or when it wore off.

If I have no responsibility driving myself home... bring on the drinks!

Of course! I rode every weekend drunk,it's just how life was lived then.I don't know if I've ever crashed when ridding pissed, maybe I've forgotten...Apart from ridding after a handle at the pub with a mild buzz/fog on,last time I rode seriously pissed was about 5 years ago on my XS1,I rode home from a party and really pushed the bike hard, thought I was ridding really well and enjoyed myself.A bit of a wake up call and I don't think I'll ever do it again.....but I've often said that on a sunday morning! But I don't drink in bars, with my gear on,and ride a bike home.

If im out on a fairly quick ride and stop somewhere for refreshments I may have a beer but only one.

If driving the car, I will have up to 3 or 4, thats my limit.

I know you have a right to live life as you see fit but so do they I suppose. One things for sure, neither of you stand much chance of converting the other to change teams...
I agree... but I'm not going to put on a wig with long hair a skirt to make them fuckwits feel better about themselves...

In the case I outlined above... we walked into the bar, before we even made it to the counter to order our drinks, comments were flying, and not just to each other in hushed tones, they were loud and directed at us, got our drinks and turned around and had four guys standing behind us that were sitting at a table when we walked in, two gave off the impressions that they were going to block our path while they threw insults at us... we ignored that... pushed past them and went to sit outside, thinking that would be better, out of sight out of mind right?

Get outside and fore-mentioned four assholes follow us outside, we sit at our table, start to enjoy our drinks and four assholes then decide to sit at our table, making it very obvious they didn't feel we were welcome in thier bar... we ignore them... they start being abusive and butt into our conversation... we ignore them... one guy gets pissed off at being ignored and deliberatly knocks Sam's drink off the table... Sam being as she is "Oh its ok... I'll get another one"... guy comments... "why don't you fucking dykes just leave"... By this point I've well gone and lost my temper, I get up and make Sam sit where I was sitting (in the middle), I sit next to the asshole, while our mate heads back to the bar for the next round and to get Sam a new drink... said asshole keeps making comments, and then deliberatly rams his elbow into my ribs... I take off my "lady hat" and tell him where to stick it in a very inpolite fashion...

At this point the bouncer walks past and mumbles something to the four assholes... they get up and move to another table. Other "straight" mates come and join us at our table... things are good for about 30 minutes... I head into the bar for the next round (and have abuse thrown at me from other punters in the bar... ignore them... get the drinks...) come out and those four assholes are back at our table, one is giving Sam heaps of shit, Sam looks all butch but is a big teddy at heart... I push my way inbetween them and get this asshole away from my g/f. Which makes him more angry... we continue to try ignoring them... said asshole abusing Sam doesn't appreciate being ignored... elbows me again. I turn around and tell him where to stick it again, he stands up and gets all agro... the bouncer returns but stands to the side and does nothing this time... the asshole is now shouting abuse, everyone is looking, he's making a scene, I've now lost my temper, my mates are loosing theirs...

At this point I leave to have a smoke, because I know when I'm about to loose it fully... and having been on the piss for about 5 hours at this stage, I have no fear. (This is when I see the biker fall off his bike).

By the time I get back to where my mates are... all our drinks (along with the smashed glasses) are on the floor, Sam's standing behind the bouncer, looking around all confused, my mate is being held back by her g/f while shes trying to rip the head off the asshole who kept elbowing me... the bouncer... just standing there watching... I push the said asshole away from my mate (because I know she'll hurt him...) and I'm standing in the middle of them, just looking at her, ignoring the asshole behind me... At this point the cowards, now being confronted by us decide to shut the fuck up... and then... yup you guessed it.... the bouncer asks us to leave for causing trouble...

Edit: I'm all for the "When in Rome do as the Romans do". But when you start harrassing my partner don't think for a fucking second I won't stand up for her or myself.

Worse that happened to me was fogetting the Atlas was still in gear when I let go the clutch while putting down my foot stopping in the garage... Ooops... Of course, being an old Norton the old bad thing that happened was the embarassment of having to get my flatmate lift it off me...

Like everything, we went way to far with the old drinking back then. Stupid really...

Well on behalf of yob's everywhere I appologise... BUT.....

Believe it or not, it's not 'cos you are gay, it's because you are different and some people don't like it or at least thought they would beat you in a fight so away they go. Personally, I just don't go to places like that because I don't like people like that and I especially don't like the places that cater to them. Lifes too damn short to be bothered with em...

You could always make a complaint to the licensing authority / OSH that the owners didn't do enough to ensure your safety?

Eh I know what you mean... And I also know what you mean by not going to those places... and until you've been there you don't know it is "one of those places". The last time I went to the Brownsy (about 4 years ago) I had a blast... I've black-listed so many straight bars/clubs, not so much because of the punters (after all they are drunk... and cowards), but mostly because of the reaction or lack there of from the staff... And now The Brownsy is one of those places... My mates live in Browns Bay, and they go there often... so its not like they've never seen lesbians in there before...

But personally I will be avoiding that place... As for making a complaint... in my opinion, seeing as I won't be going there again nor recommending it to anyone (unless your homophobic... the brownsy is just the place for your narrowmindness and insecurity... you'll fit right in).

    Anywho...

Dat shit be wack, man, and that's why I usually drink at Galbraiths. Sometimes, you see, I just feel the need to smoke cock in the men's room, and it's so invalidating to be judged because of it, y'know?

Also, they have good beer, and it's close to the office.

How did the populace pick y'all as gay, anyway? Were you, like, group-snogging? Or are you constructed of particularly gaydar-reflecting materials?

I've never figured out why guys are bothered by it. It's not like there ain't enough women to go around. Anyway, I mean, there's only two types of gay chick, right? The ones who were fiddled with at age four and can't stand the sight of penises, and the frighteningly sporty ones who can kick my arse at arm-wrestling.

And, you know... whichever way you look at it, from the perspective of the average male, alla dat shit be someone else's bag. Celebrate our differences, I say.

    Celebrate our differences.

I knew walking in there with a huge gay flag would be a dead give away... And I don't suppose my mate on the megaphone screaming "the dykes are coming.... the dykes are coming" helped much... I personally didn't think it would be a dead giveaway... straight people are only slightly smarter than we thought...

Forget this bar and club nonsense. Join us at Galbraiths for the next civilised, multi-faceted, all sexual orientations welcome so long as any canine or bovine partners are tied to the railing outside, KB session. In fact, it's well past due. I should probably trot out my personal superpower of herding cats and organise one.

    Probably.
