Long exposure can work really well with sky tower and any vehicle for that matter (must admit bikes look particularly cool with long exposure night shots). Try some locations where a photo captures both traffic and the sky tower do atleast 15s long exposure. Will look awesome
One good location is the top of Wellesly Street. You can park your bike on the foot path and try shooting from there.

good deal. I'm lookin for a lil P&S cuz I haven't found a bag I'm comfortable puttin my camera in.

Cool pic's Big Dave......makes me wanna get out and take some beauty shot's of the Triumph......we have some great spots around here.....top of Pakari hill is one place, you can see Sky tower/Rangitoto on a clear day...![]()
