    GSXR 750 rear shock

    Hi Guys,

I have a 1989 GSXR 750 in need of a new rear shock as the factory one is now a sponge. I would like some reccomendations on what path to take, as the bike does not merit a lot of financial investment. I was thinking it could possibly take the factory shock from a new 600/750/1000 from some one who was upgrading to an aftermarket shock? I havnt even looked at any prices yet but will try to this weekend...

    Any thoughts or suggestions??

    Cheers.

I've got my rear shock on trademe at the moment. Here is the link. I've listed the eye to eye length for someone who asked. It is in very good condition.

Thanks. What else do I need to check apart from the length to ensure it will fit in my bike? Sorry to ask retard questions, but I have never really played with suspension.

Hmmm, probably need to talk to a suspension tuner or Suzuki dealership. Obviously they were not made intentially to fit an earlier model, but it might not require much to get it in there.

Buy it now for $200 of him, put it in, if you like the way it feels, its good to go, if you do not like, put it back on ebay for $250, cause it is worth it, a SV rider could not go wrong with buying it

    Listen to Shaun.....

If you get stuck fitting it / playing around PM me and I can probably help, ie I'm in the area and have a similar pre-historic bike.

You mean I've under valued it Shaun!!! Actually I thought I could probably get more but want a quick sale. $200 is better than a kick in the arse.
