Lump lingered last in line for brains,
And the ones she got were sort of rotten and insane...
Hey Aff-Man, Maverick..It's all good.
Maverick has run this thing 3 times so far -
1st time 7 attended - all 250cc or less. 1 group.
2nd time 16 attended - various cc 2 groups - fast and learners
3rd time 3 attended - all 250cc - 1 group.
The title is there to let otherwise timid learner riders know that there's an opportunity to meet KBers in a safe and responsible environment - which the group lead by Mav or myself is. The fast group will be told the route and the destination - they will get to pick 'a leader' should they feel they need one and we'll all meet for lunch.
Means there is a responsible environment for us noobs and the hooners can take their chances.
What I'm saying is you're both right really - Mav's group will be safe - the fast boys - you're only limited by your skill, your machinery and the boys in blue!
In space, no one can smell your fart.
if im not away to coro that weekend ill be there with my mrs, she's just got her learners but she'll be riding pillion (wouldnt say shes quite ready to go for any real rides seeing as my gn wont be fixed till after i get the new head sent to me) will probably be on the cx500, so i wont be hooning away from the group![]()
Sorry Lads, But i'll be missing this one as well. I have Inxs tickets .. hmm .. now i just need to find a date. LOL.
Just like add my 2 umm . 5, shit .. 10 cents in on this ride. I think Mav is doing a damn fine job and providing a well needed service, not only does he take the time to scout the ride first (i've been on a scouting mission with him) but he picks routes that will help 250 riders learn about the bikes they are riding and get valauble skills.
Hes not being paid for this, he's doing it because he loves riding and he wants to help out his fellow biker. I for one feel we sould all give him our thanks.
Keep up the good work Mav.

Well said WarlockNZ, always good to ride safely and in a responsible group where sensible options can be taken. Learn heaps and build up a rapport with other bikers that fortunately (or not!) will be our peers in the future.
Plus its a great excuse to get out and ride! Which I will do right now!![]()

Had an awesome ride with fubar today (cept for having one little panic incident for some reason)... backways to helensvile, back towards bethels, up scenic drive, out towards huia and onto cornwallis for lunch. Was thinking should have invited some of yas along... it's a nice road to cornwallis.
Muwwahahhahaha! Just got back from doing Kaiaua/Miranda twice! Did the twisties and had a good old blat down the other parts!![]()
Damn cagers had me doing thewhen they crossed over onto my side!!!
Bastiches! And this was on some of the tight corners...thank gawd I didn't take them too fast (nana speeds fer me!). I counted 4 Remuera tractors, 3 saloons, 3 compacts that I had to scoot over to ( I would have held my line but I didn't feel like becoming a hood ornament or part of their indicator set up!
).
Gas and fanged the poor Hornet when no-one was in sight on the straights![]()

Right, time to iron a shirt, wear a jacket under the Dainese and ride off to town for a dinner engagement...don't wait up, I may be some time!![]()

I crossed a ford (the water kind :P) on the bike today
That was a first.
After work today i decided i'd skip my off ramp home and continued on out west to Red Hills Rd and the likes , was able to stretch the RG's legs a bit(within the limits of course
) .
Later on in the afternoon the sun came out so i went to mission bay for a little tiki-tour and sat in the sun for a bit whilst having a ciggie . Excellent way to spend the afternoon.
Hopefully the weather plays dice tomorrow , cant wait to get out again.
Seems like most ppl had fun today. Well, I did my first (the much talked about) Coro Loop today, it was an excellent day!
Anyone who has not been down there should seriously think about it, those roads were made with us in mind![]()
Broke the piggy bank few days ago for a new one piece leather suit, lets hope it arrives soon enough for this ride next week.
Anyhoo, after 6-7hrs of riding now I'm all sore, but satisfied![]()
in order to appreciate a good steak, you should eat the occasional greasy hamburger.
Hey - does anyone know what sort of turn out we're looking at for the coming weekend?
I've been making all sorts of sacrifices (Housework/gardening/redecorating/babysitting etc.) to earn enough brownie points with the missus to get a whole day on the bike.
I even dragged Mav over to help till the soil at Glen McJim.
