Yeah that pisses me off. Next time I see a cop breaking the law like that I'm going to get his rego number and report him to http://www.police.govt.nz/service/road/roadwatch.html. Nothing will happen but at least I'll get a laugh out of it.....
I went up to Woodhill with the CR on Sat morning, the blue Mazda6 was just south of Rimmers Road dealing with an accident there. Didnt look for a radar, but was surprised to see a cop using that model of car. Also have to wonder how he caught a guy doing 215 on a sports bike! Maybe those Mazda's shuffle along a bit quicker than you'd expect . . .
Hey dude, you've had us all going for a while....but you're really one of those shopping centre security guards that always wanted to be a policeman aren't you?...go on..admit it! Now you've got a forum and an audience - you just couldn't resist it! We'll foirgive you if you 'fess up now.
You makin' all this up or have you got magazines for reference?
Has anyone met Dynamytus50? Or is he just The_Dover's alter ego....hmmmm...2 logins/2 opposite viewpoints.....possibility.

I'll be perfectly honest - I'm disgusted that the cops use these gas guzzling Commodores with Engines greater than 2 Litres. If they used sensible cars like Mondeos or Vectras they'd save enough money to pay police a decent wage hence getting a decent standard of officer and even have enough left over for some extra policemen.
I'm pleased they have diversified their fleet finally.
There are other countries in the world that fare perfectly well without big block engines.

ROFL...
There are heaps of plain cars, used for other things, as pointed out. CIB tip people out all the time and they dont know what a ticket book looks like, let alone have radar. HP will have a few too, but down here there are only 2... in Auckland I would expect a few more, but only a few...a couple at the Shore, a couple out West and a couple for HP.
