    That would be interesting.

Maybe Hayden knows that even if he wins the championship, people are gonna say that he had a better bike...so he wants to take on Vale on even terms...he possibly could do it, but would need even more luck than he's had this year.

Here you go but they're not very good quality, my reception isn't the best... might need a new tv ariel.

the first one is from the end of the race, the 2nd one is a replay from a slightly different angle.

    Bahaha that's great news.

Not only is he going to loose the championship this year, but he's never going to get close again. It's been proven time and again that only Rossi can be competitive on any (read: Yamaha) machine. Everyone else needs a Honda (Caparossi+Ducati being the exception).

It'll be interesting to see how it's going to work. Can't see Rossi being too interested in having Hayden as a teammate again, although considering it's Rossi he probably doesn't give a shit. So are they going to have two factory teams.
Hayden - Evidence that even the mediocre can achieve great things.

I herd that Yamaha will see the return of movistar telefonica next year. But that's not the point your making.
Anyway, Hayden was lucky that it rained, he would have been down shit stream with no paddle had it been a dry race with him in 14th place and Rossi and Pedrosa up the front. Danni had a shocker of a race, specially after it rained, all I can think of is that maybe he was being over cautious in the rain as he probably doesn't want to crash and risk damaging his knee further.
Rossi was on the charge at in the first few laps but had an average race after that. And it has been said about Melandri's finishing move's..... but daaaamn, that has the be the coolest way anyone has ever finished any race ever. That will feature in many motogp video collections.
I enjoyed the 250's and 125's aswell, I wonder if the 125 rider who tried to rejoin the race on the second corner and hit the other rider when he came back on, I wonder if there will be any action against him, as clearly he should have laid the bike down like the other fella did.

Cheers. And I will also say GODDAMN that was something else. My respect for Melandri has just gone up some more...

The result was understandable given the difficult conditions.

Rossi rode a smart race. Knowing that his championship bid is over if he falls down he rode a conservative race but did what he had to do to keep his bid alive - i.e. beat Hayden.

Hayden also rode a smart race. Going into the race he would have known all he has to do to win the championship is follow immediately behind the better of Pedrosa or Rossi. At Phillip Island Pedrosa struggled and Hayden followed right behind Rossi - until the final corner, that is.

Melandri and Vermeulen aren't in the championship hunt, so took the risks and went for the best one-off result.

I don't know if I'd go as far to say that Melandri isn't in the championship hunt. He's only 32 behind hayden and 9 behind rossi. All that is needed is for hayden to drop it at motegi and melandri to win and it will be back to a 3 way race for the last 2 races. Stranger things have happened....

Rossi was the one taking risks. He was out ridden on a track that he could have taken an unprecendented 6 consecutive wins at one circuit. The man thrives on challenges. He was on a mission and overtaking Gibbers on the last turn proves it. If I were Gibernau and having gone thru all the shit Rossi has dished out I would have bounced him into the kitty litter and taken away his chance of winning this years title.

bit hard when he takes you on the inside!

See what happened to ... who was it .... biagii when he forced rossi out into the litter, rossi held on and then flicked him the bird as he stuck it up the inside of him on the next corner

Gibernau came back to the Rossi/Hayden/Stoner group rather than the other way round. Gibernau was clearly struggling - his bike sounded like shit over the last half of the race (Capirossi's sounded even worse over most of the race).
