Looking forward to this now. Hope today's wind buggers off before next weekend. Tried a few standing starts on the 636 today. Much harder than the CBR1000R. The 6s seem too light at the front and are easier to bog the revs down. Still got to give it a go for fun.
Guess there will be a few bods meeeting up at the Caltex Rimutaka Sunday morning? About 7.45am for 8am depart if anyone's keen. The flyer says it starts at 9am

I'm hoping to enter, no excuses this year. I think I need a fin or something for my helmet though. At 250k my head feels like King Kong has a hold of it whislt having an epileptic fit, the shaking continues all the way back down to 180ish. It aint much fun at all.

Count me as an unorganised sad arse!! I already told the missus that "No dear, I won't be going over the hill for the 3rd weekend in a row"

I may have to go up to Palmy and through the gorge...

I met with Cliffhanger Promotions last night to drop off some prizes (about $800 worth - bloody good effort from the sponsors.) Tank pads, bar grips, cleaning and lube products, t-shirts, moive passes, bike shop vouchers, caps, bike locks etc.

Categories at this stage are fastest in standing and flying 1/4 for :

    1. up to 250 4 stroke or 200cc 2 stroke
    2. 250 2 stroke to 450 4 stroke
    3. 450cc to 650cc
    4. 651cc to 750cc
    5. >750cc
    6. BEARS
    7. Fastest woman (Helen Clarke and her convoy need not apply)

Also potentially best wheelie, best presented bike, oldest rider and possibly a random draw.

These are all subject to change at the organisers discretion, and will be dependent on number of entries in each category and demand.

There is also a sausage sizzle and raffle of a chest/back protector. Bring some loose change.
