OK, I'll be there with Crissy-Bimbo, MAYBE on the Friday night as well Saturday night if the weather is good, depends if Mr Sensible gets leave from his lovely doris (or brings her down) and wants to stay Friday night at Chez Scumdog.

" Life is not a rehearsal, it's as happy or miserable as you want to make it"
I've got the Friday off work, I'm allowed to go, I haven't made up my mind...
I'll leave the decision till next week, can't rush these things.
Jeez scumdog we're not exactly getting rushed with replies to this one - has word got out about Sth Otago's spring weather?
We might end up having to ride there together - and I'm not sure whether non waving Harley riders are even allowed on the same bit of road as Transalps??
We'll have to watch them when we're not looking in case they breed - imagine that it would be like, like, like, ............. one of those Buell Ulysses things?!!
AND it would definitely have been the Transalp on top!!! - can you imagine getting the front end of a Harley up enough to mount anything?
Seriously tho it twood be good to meet the man behind the mask so I'll catch up with you on the cruise if not before.
I'm going to give the PP a miss this year, catch you at the Magpie (or if not sooner)
So can we have ahead count of KBers going to the PP and what night they're heading there?
Maybe we could arrange a rendezvous somewhere.

Coming down on Sat morning (borrowed a tent so that looks like the nights buggered now), in time to set up the tent and then head out on the cruise.
Will be riding down with the crazy pom - woodybee - who's looking forward to your next dancing class Scumdog.
Would be useful to spread the word about this site a bit when we're there - so we can use it for planning local rides.
I'll be on a blue Transalp, woodybee isn't sure what she'll be riding yet. Where to meet - is there a BBQ going for lunch or something. Would be handy to have a KB'r flag.
How about everyone just finds Scumdog and we group up from there?
Second thoughts about a meeting spot - how about in Milton and then ride down together? Would give Scumdog a chance to get his bike warmed up before he gets to Kaka Point.
Meet outside the Westside cafe which is beside the BP service station at the South end of town - about 10:30? - if you get there earlier then just enjoy a coffee till others show up.
If you're heading to the rally from Milton you'll have to right past Chez Scumdog, look for the flag on your right when you get your first views of Big River Town.
By chance you too don't live right beside the highway do you Ruralman??

No not by the highway - distant relations with the same surname do - I'm just off SH8 on Round Hill Rd/Manuka Hill Rd. 1.64km from the Lawrence end.
I'm wondering whether I should put a post on the General bike stuff to see whether some members around Dunedin would even just come down for the day and the cruise (weather forecast for Sat looks OK, wee bit wet possibly on Sunday) - but I get the impression it'll be like flogging the proverbial dead horse. Might be more use promoting this site a bit at the rally.

Got the T/A serviced in Balc today - is it the Canadian flag I should have been looking for?
Had a PM from Oldrider, may see him there depending on weather, will try to meet up with him in Milton. Sounds like you'll be away down there before we get to you but we'll drop by just in case.

Ok then I've got the right place. Just heard from woodybee, her bike ain't going to be ready in time so she's coming here on 4 wheels and will pillion down with me. Not sure where we'll pack everything but I'm sure with a bit of No8 and bunder twine we'll figure something out.
What sort of stuff other than tent/bag/groundmat do you need to take to this thing? Do you need mugs etc?
