    For Sale: 99 R1

If you wish to test ride, bring cash and your own vehicle as well as a licence.

I will trade a car if necessary but still require the bulk of the deal to be a cash transaction.

I have lost my job and so this has to go.

Recent service / tune at HSN M/Cycles.
WOF and Rego are current and will run out end of OCT.

This bike will come with Ventura Rack, full arrow 4 into 1 system w Carbon can.
I have had camchain and valve clearances checked and they were within spec less than 3 months ago.

Has Chameleon paintjob. Purple over greeen.

Dropped off stand by me. Broken clutch lever. Scrape on Mirror, Blinker, and fairing and tailsection as pictured.

This bike pulls hard and strong. As it does not have the EXUP valve its a bit skinny down low.

I understand that the crank has been lightened also so the bike is not that smooth until about 3000 rpm.

Chain and sprockets are in OK condition. Front discs/pads are good. Back disc is grooved slightly but does not chatter or pulse.

Handling is superb, I was assured when I bought this at Xmas last yeatr that the clutch plates had been replaced. Can induce a bit of slippage when hot off the line, otherwise good. No oil leaks.

I will include my ARAI RX7 helmet and Nazran Kevlar gloves if the right price is reached.

I also have a Spyke leather sports jacket, One piece rainsuit, lightweight 2 pce wets and leather trousers (XL to XXL) as well as Gaerne Road boots (Sz 10) that I am negotiable on.

NO TIME WASTERS...THIS IS A GREAT DEAL FOR SOMEONE AND I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THIS GO TO A BIKE RIDER WHO WILL APPRECIATE ITS QUALITIES.

the engines are relatively 'bulletproof' all comes down to the way its been ridden and maintained. If its had its whole life service history at Henderson M/C and its always been on schedule etc with regular oil changes i'd say it'll keep going well over 100k but would obviously need a freshen up to make sure all the horsies are pulling their weight!

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

oh I saw this on TradeMe on friday and due to the price I started an R1 or R6 thread lol...

*would have been a serious contender if you were selling it closer to Dec*

    Good luck with the sale
