Ouch! Glad you're okay! You always think about what could have been. Definitely replace the helmet, eh?

That's no good fella - BUT - you're in one piece.

Get the bike into a decent mechanic's and get the forks, frame, and rear subframe all checked. Get ahold of your insurance company.

That really sounds like it could have come out as a lot worse, I can see why you'd want to go out and buy a lotto ticket now.
What sort of gear did you have, just out of curiosity? Did you have a back protector, you mentioned you had a few rolls, do you think it saved your back if you did have one?

Nice write up Jeaves, now you know what it feels like during a moderate speed bin?...lets hope you never repeat it at higher speeds, might have slapped the confidence a bit, but that'll return......

I bounced an opossum and its bubba last night on the way back from friends. Saw it, blinked and braced, ran the fekkers over. Kind of like running over an inverted pothole. Admittedly, I was only doing mid 80's. In a nutshell, try and avoid only large animals like cows, sheeps, humans, some dogs etc.

    Now this made me laugh.

You get out of high side like that in one piece and you celebrate by sucking carcinogens straight into ya lungs... A much better way to calm the nerves is 200 or so pressups on the missus.

Glad to hear you came out of it in one piece.
