    ZR250a clutch

Just a small issue, When cold starting the ZR, it wont start in any gear with the clutch fully pulled in, it has to be started in neutral otherwize it starts to pull as soon as the starter is pressed. As soon as it's warm it'll start in any gear though. There's always been a clunk along with slight pull forward when changing from neutral to first but the problem has only started today.
Is this to do with the clutch cable not pulling the clutch out far enough to fully disengage the engine, or something more serious?
    Thanks.

Not familiar with these motors as such...but generally, if this is happening then it is because either - the cable needs adjusting (it does stretch) or you have the wrong grade of oil
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Yeh what he said.
My old one got a bit clunky when it was due for an oil change.

What are you starting it for in gear anyway?

It was supposed to have had an oil and filter change before i bought it and that was only 600 KM's ago.

Just a bad habbit. Park in first and it's easier 2 pull the clutch in and just start it like that, should really get out of it I guess.

as above --check the clutch cable is correctly adjusted for freeplay.
Personally Id dump the oil thats in it and but a good bike semi synthetic in it
