    vtr1000f

    New Zealand new
    1999 model 31000kms

One owner from new (lightweight 55kg jockey the bike hardly knows Im there!)
Professional custom paint from new, Dupont chrome illusion, Firestorm decal on tank under four coats of clear 2K lacquer
Major scheduled service done 300kms ago Included fluids valve clearance etc performed by Motorad Wellington
K&N filter and stage 1 Dynojet
Yoshimura RS3 exhaust system + originals boxed. Fresh rubber 600kms of light use on Pirelli dragons. Upgraded regulator rectifier (these are a common fault with firestorms)
Good battery kept on battery tender
    Good chain and sprocket 2000kms
    Break pads 2000kms
Ventura pack rack for the long haul
    WOF till 30/9/06
    VIN JH25C36U2ZXM200254

This bike has never been dropped - that includes falling of the side stand incidents
The custom paint was done 1 month from new(original colour red)
This bike comes from a biker family, so apart from the major service (I really couldnt be bothered dealing with the valve clearances) the fluids, filters and plugs have been regularly maintained by ourselves.
This Firestorm certainly gains a lot of attention with the custom paint and the race pipes sound amazing, it comes with the original factory pipes in perfect condition if you choose not to make your presence felt
Selling as I now live and work in the city and cant justify the 14km round trip in first gear Apart from the yearly trip to the Cold Kiwi and the odd run up the Rimituka Hill, it hasnt had much use in the past 4 years

Still on the market....as of 4th august .......!!!!! BUY ME...

I can vouch for that folks - cause I am the main "maintainer" (owner usually hangs round the garage smoking fags and trying to break all my good tools while I get on with doing all the dirty work).
    pretentious moi?

yes i have learnt everything i know about bike maintanence from close observation of et al over the years ,mind you i did miss the part about sparkplugs, for years i though they were just fancy "bolts", that must have been when i was off to the fridge to supply the old boy a cold tinnie.

you could be in luck as it so happens it is, I could be pressured into a sale (Its hard to let go), posted for sale in here in a moment of weakness in mid winter.(forgot it would still be listed on here) The warrent expired on th 30th just gone, rego till 03/07.
I am just in the process of dialing in the carbs (dynojet kit stage 1) once thats done its off to the shop for a fresh warrent. Drop me a note at stuartfoster@gmail.com
PS last week it had an off the side stand incident, minimal damage. i.e. a few scratches, mirror tip damage, bent clutch lever. Still a great bargin at the price. Im wellington based so best to view in the flesh.
    Cheers
