Hmmmm...
A distance of 182.802 km at an estimated travel time of 2hrs and 3 mins according to Wises.co.nz. Factoring in that's along the most policed road in the country means we looking at roughly what? 1hr 30min ride just to get to the start of the 'real' ride without a high chance of getting pinged.
Will have get up at about 8am then too.

I think I'll come along then.

Though might turn back a bit earlier so as to make it home before 9.45pm, unlike last time!

Holy crap mate! Bit bored last night were ya?
SH1 is the safest/quickest way up believe it or not....well it didn't take long after Puke anyway.
Radar invisiblity-bubble worked well
The route is slightly shorter, -100kms, this time SD....also don't forget daylight savings,thought you would've factored that into your equations

Weather permitting Dave, i'm going to be leaving Ak around 7.30am and head up to DMNTD's house to drop off my gear 1st (plan on staying Sat night), so if you want to ride up with me you're welcome.
