So long as the immigrants aren't coming from the UK I'll be happy to help.

Oh, and we want a yearly cap of 10 immigrants only.

I have to admit, I have never really thought about this. Mainly thought of reasons why I should leave but here goes anyway.

Nature- I am a huge fan of it. We have everything here, mountains, lakes, native forest. Also I think we tend to look after our nature on the whole.

People- For the most part, all the people I have worked with are hard working and easy to get along with.

Roads- Had an awesome ride on sunday out in the wops. Great twisty roads and im sure there are many more like them.

There must be heaps of reasons why someone would want to move here. These are what I can think of, off the top of my head, from someone who already lives here.

Is that what you were looking for?

    1) The women...stunners ever one of them

    2) The pay...world leaders in wage dissparity

    3) The scenery...beautiful to the point of disstraction, as those two women tourists can testify to after driving off the road on a particularly pretty corner.

    4) The wine...Oh I do like the wine its very nice, and alot of the beer is great, it also makes the women look better, actually not being sexist but I believe they use it as well for the same reasons.

    5) The weather...Its nothing if not eventful and defined by its extremes

    6) The sinister underbelly that exists just below the surface in many aspects of kiwi culture and life...I find it very interesting, particularly some of the heinous stuff that goes on in rural areas.

    7) The fact its not europe or america or anywhere else...Keep it real Kiwis and don't follow the rest of the world.....hey where you going, stop sniffing europes butt.

    8) The south island...there is no one there, so carry spare petrol at all times. It is stunningly beautiful, just a pity I can't work from home or I'd be there sooooo fast.

    9) The summer...getting third degree burns unless you don't douse yourself in factor 50.

    10) The airpoints...that you will acrue on trips to see parents, family and friends etc mount up real fast and are actually useful for bugger all.

Wow that was harder then I thought it would be.....

YES and NO... There are other places that have the same stuff.

People - I finding it hard. I am 25 and working with people that is at least 10+ years older. Is this normal?

Wellington - What can I say, no Blue skies in this region. How is a KB'er to survive this?

Tools - I must say tools are cheap'ish. This open's lot's of opportunities. But this is a lonely road because I get the feeling people here are afraid of strange and new ideas.(But you can make a killing once you are going!!!)

No Cheap labour - I don't know about you, but I am not paying $150 labour to get my brake pads replaced.

Bikes and Cars - Auto's Cheap!!! Part's not so cheap!!! Labour unaffordable...

Crime - It's getting there!!! Have not been pulled over for two years... How many people have driven without a licence or without a L plate for that time?

    I need more convincing!!!

Absolutely positively a load of shit.

We have at least 10% more sunshine hours a year than Auckland. A couple of decent southerlies and you all want to go running home.

Last Summer was awesome, and the weather patterns are about the same this year. How long have you been here?

If you don't like it, seriously, GO HOME.

Other places do not have the South Island. Been there yet? No traffic, brilliant roads, and heaps of hillbillies to tease.
