    Biker and Goose ride together

I love it when I find something like this...

When a small gosling turned up in a biker’s front yard, he had no idea that it would turn into a travelling companion.

Dutch Kaffel of Frankfort, Chicago, decided to care for the bird, little realising the strange turn that his decision would take. As the goose, named “Harley” grew, he started to chase one of Kaffel’s sons who was riding a bicycle. But once he was large enough to fly, he took to taking off and following Kaffel as he rides his Harley-Davidson.

“Usually it is just up and down the block, but we do sometimes head into the country, where he can keep up at speeds of over 40mph” said Kaffel. “He won’t follow anybody but me now, so I guess he thinks of me as Dad.”

Kaffel plans to move Harley back into his own natural environment "If I have to keep him through the winter I will, and then next season, when it's time for the geese to mate, I'm gonna introduce him into a big flock and I think Mother Nature will take over."

But until then, Harley will continue to fly with Dutch on his rides.

Lol I just got this mental image of a flock of geese flying in V formation low to the ground with a harley up front breaking wind for the rest.

Cool, really. Had a hawk take off from the road ahead of me and stayed with me for a couple hundred feet of road before it lifted almost straight up into the air. Damn amazing to get to see a large bird flying that close up.
