Thumbs up Thank-you everybody for your welcomes and help!

    Hi there,

I've already posted a bit on this forum, and want to thank everybody for their warm welcomes and for their very good help. I'm a geek so I'm familiar with forums and the usual chest-beating, posturing, and typical n00b-unfriendliness, so I was surprised to be greeted so nicely. Thanks to you guys I now have a running bike, a licence, and plenty of information about how to ride a motorcycle and not die ^_^. Just wanted to say thanks, and I hope that in the future I can offer the same level of help that has been extended to me.

    Thanks everybody,

    -Tom

Took your suggestion, maha_man, and accepted invitation to the 250 ride (maverick's) this weekend. Will have fun trying to read road map to work out how to get there hahah! Looks like fun and I'm sure the experience will be well worth it. After riding for the first time on the motorway today (over Mangere Bridge, windy, wot!) I'm sure I need it.

Good to hear you got something positive from this site and its members!!

The 'scooter boy' thing is an automatic allocation that is related to the number of posts you have made, when you've posted a few more times it will change. (Just have a look at others who have posted a little more than you for an example)

Better two wheels than none! I confess, I enjoyed blatting around Stewart Island on them..rode the whole day, took it off road, manhandled it over tracks and trails where it should never have gone...and only barely made the fuel needle move! Damn! I paid $6 for that fuel!

Suffice to say, I know ever road on that place and had to pull out a few bits of flora before returning it back. They had kinda funny looks when they saw what condition I returned it in!

Anyhow, good on ya for taking up the two wheel challenge! Keep it rubber side down and always pillion your Asphalt Angel!
