So what are their plans? We are starting up that way the weekend before and having a cruise around the Nth island with a couple of others, via the coromandel to that place

Only worries I have involve traffic lights, round-ma-bouts and sharing the same 1/2 km section of road with more than 5 cages, - oh, and crossing that big-arsed ditch en route.

And Dangerous being in the vicinity, now that IS a worry!!!
You DO know that if the South Auckland bosses know you're up here, they'll press gang you into working in that shit hole. They'll have you doing traffic and tell the Pollies they're cracking down on crime.
    You've been warned.

they don't like shovels and they probably list evo's as antiques

best thing about hog is all the disgarded bikes they get rid of after about 2-3 years which makes them more affordable for the rest of us

I don't see it as a bite, you should know I'm not anti HD - but they have a huge history, and made a lot of bikes that weren't V twins. There was the Aremachi connection (my wife had a 350 Sprint SX) and they even made their own DKW clone 2 strokes.Selective memories for the HD image.Guzzi riders do the same,to them it's only the V twins....but at least the Ducati owners recognise the singles.

MotoGuzzi made a 250 four cylinder road bike at one stage (actually a Benelli clone).....

As per my PM, I haven't seen any restriction on bike size or age on the entry form and I for one have no problem with an Aermacchi turning up and have not heard anybody else having the 'nothing less than 883' attitude - and if HOG did have such a problem I would do a Grouch Marx on their HOG membership.

Shovels are now kool and are much admired - they have their own 'group' of admirers.
