who cares, the fireworks that you buy in the shops are crap anyway. Just google "how to make fireworks" and like Dover said, make your own.

Big Sister (aka Clark) is watching!

And yet again its the minority of fuckwits that are irresponsible with fireworks fucking it up for everyone else. So cheers to those fucking losers and you better not use ACC as a fucking excuse when you set fire to yourself. Or if you do then do a good job of it....put a tire round your neck and dose yourself in petrol...then light the match.....jerks!!!!!!

Remember when the intermenet first came along there was paranoia about kids getting online and learning how to make bombs?

    scary huh,

I'm sure the proponents of banning fireworks have thought of this. Shall we ban professionally made fireworks? Surely the kids can't / won't use the net and create really unsafe ones.......

What was probably an attempt to scare people into behaving "if you dont take care we'll ban them", this will probably backfire. Nutters from all around the country will take it that fireworks will not be available next year, so this year we need to GO HARD. Blow up letter boxes, hospitals, cateries, trains, sylvia park - you name it it needs to go BOOM. 'Cause it's the last time boys and girls. Muhahahhaa.

Then they'll all wonder why there were so many more callouts this year. Morons.

Anyway, I'm not bothered about the fireworks. I'll just grab a pound of blackpowder and make my own if I feel the need.

    Where "is" New Zealand headed?

This government is a mix of mainly left wingers with anti freedom attributes hiding under a center left "Labour Government Label!"

Left leaning voters think they have the government of their "choice" and by the time they wake up and smell the roses, it will be too late!

How many "freedoms" have been suppressed since these guy's got into power and how many more will go before they are finished?

This government is self interested only and will do anything to make their own lives easier and ours more difficult.

They will activate a typical school teacher/union style reaction to any incident and they will create laws to suppress the majority in order to "control" the supposed antisocial actions of a few!

Meanwhile they will change laws retrospectively to guarantee their own "special" circumstances and protection and make sure that we the "Taxpayers" pay for it!

Think I am just a right wing winger? Watch them in action and "judge for yourselves!"

They seem to find a new way to rip us off almost every day!

They only take a rest from that to find new ways to feather their own nest!

They are so confident that they have control of the electorate and the media in this country they have no fear of electoral reprisal!

Power corrupts but absolute power corrupts completely!

Just keep watching them and you will see what I mean, they just can't help themselves! They are corrupt! John.

'Adjustments' to tax coming, says Dunne

    Tuesday October 17, 2006
    By Paula Oliver

Revenue Minister Peter Dunne says personal tax "adjustments" will happen, conceding that the unveiling of a huge surplus has increased pressure for cuts.

In a statement which goes further than Finance Minister Michael Cullen was prepared to last week, Mr Dunne said yesterday that the "very large" Government surplus meant two things.

"The business tax reduction proposals I announced with Michael Cullen in the Business Tax Review in July will go ahead from April 2008, and they will be accompanied by personal tax adjustments as well, just as we foreshadowed."

The likelihood of personal tax cuts in the Budget next year is increasing, but Dr Cullen has so far fallen short of publicly committing himself.

The changes are expected to be in place in 2008, an election year.

    How unusual... a coincidence surely...........

I'm not talking about the corner dairy or mum and pop businesses sonny. I'm talking big NZ businesses.

What's just happened to Feltex, Ihug, etc, etc. Name a fully NZ owned Insurance Company or Bank. There's a couple but that's it.

But it's okay, fish are normally wet behind the ears.

Personal use of fireworks has been banned in most, if not all, Australian states for years.
