    Edumacational dvds

Anyone have any educational dvd's they could lend me "off site backups" of?

Road riding or off road doesn't matter.

Being a total newbie, am I wanting to learn some skills.

Yes a lot is learnt by just getting out there, and while I'm doing that I am mindful that I don't want to teach myself bad habits. Easier not to have them in the first place than to try and unlearn them.

Book suggestions would be good too.

I have the DVD "Motorcycling in New Zealand - Riding in Groups"
and the book "The Biker's Bible. Fun and Survival on Road-Going Motorcycles" by Graham Allardice.

IMO the DVD has some good stuff and some not so practical stuff in it, but still worth a look and the book would be recommended reading.

    I can lend them both.

Also download and check out that "A Perfect Day" video as in the "Road Safety Video - MUST WATCH!!!!" thread.
Actually I've massively recompressed the "A Perfect Day" video and posted the attachment in post40 of that therad here

    Hiya,

Long shot, but just wondering if you still had that DVD?
would you be able to make it available for download??? maybe make it into a 'bit torrent' file for all KB bikers to access?

    Or even make a copy...

    Cheers

Group Riding, the DVD as Disco Dan requested as an .avi
It's a 17minute DVD and compressed down into a 28Mb DivX video here.

The standard reminder: you need the divX codec installed on your PC to see the picture (or a player such as VLC) and although the normal picture size is small you should be able to zoom the playback to full screen and get a good result.

Disco Dan has uploaded it to a nice high speed host here

Thanks DD, that makes the download time a breeze compared to my original host.
