Well, there was a break in the weather so I got the opportunity to test out the forks with the new oil over the Wallaceville Hill. What a revelation! So much more compliance in the front end and I didn't have to wrestle with a front end that banged up and down any more!

Very pleased with my weekends work I am.

Roll on the ride to work tomorrow...

ceebie13. I must pop around to see the CB13 in person since I'm in the neighbourhood. I'm curious to see if its as shiny as my father-in-law's Hornet 900.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Tried to wire in resistors to the indicators but it is still flashing too fast. I think I'm gonna have to wire up some bulbs inside my faring

And cleaned and lubed up chain, and adjusted it.

And organised cash aside for 24000 km service and a chain and sproket set.

Helped my daughter (age 2.5) to clean my bike, which was incredibly mucky from riding 2400km's the weekend before.

Gave it a pat on the tank and a word of thanks for taking me 12000km's in 5 months.

Put some decent front pads in, and got the rear brake light switch working.

I vacuumed... the shed (no really... I did!)

Much nicer now it's mostly dust free, and I even have a shed vacuum just for the job.

As usual, absolutely sod all. Cripes you guys like to tinker don't ya's...you'd think you's were all riding Italian bikes? If anyone wants to borrow my SOB for a rainy weekend's tinkering [1*] then gimmie a bell.

[1] Hmm...wash bike, rear shock, lube cables, respray, strip and clean calipers, superglue crack in fairing before it spreads, adjust suspension. Did I say wash bike?

I went and picked up a shed for mine, put it on a trailer fully assembled in upper hutt and drove down the motorway crapping myself that it would implode at any second and take someone out.

Bolted it to the car deck which involved crawling around in the mud underneath the deck to get the nuts on. Now I just need to cut a door in the end so I can actually fit more than the front wheel in.

    Blah

washed her, with the power hose and de-greased her; waxed her ( 3 stage from Maguires ), armourall'd all the plastics and seats; cleaned all the steel ( zorst, pegs etc ); wd40'd all the wires. replaced teh threaded screw in the radar mount and replaced the broken telephone cable for the radar; got another years worth of taxation ( for teh bike, wagon, car.. and got 10k's worth of diesel tax too )

cleaned and polished the rims, sandpaper'd my chicken strips and checked the oil, water/anti freeze; cleaned the leathers and wet weatehr gear and got some wax for the leathers ( yet to buff buff ); bought some wax for the chain ( yet to do )

anyone wanna buy a cbr600rr, black, fully serviced, 11 months old and ridden like she'd want to be
