Anyway, back to a more urgent matter, how do I tell exactly what part of my charging system is fucked? Hope it's not the alternator as that is a very big thing inside the enginge and I'de need to pull it almost appart to get to it.

Yamaha must have had man hour charges in mind when they designed these bikes...

Dropped to ten but had the battery on the charger from about 5:45 till just now when trying it. so may have had a low charge before.


Revved it all the way up to 5,000 and still didn't reach 13.

Service manual *thanks Cajun* that I just got the proper software to be able to read *thanks again Cajun* says I need to check the stater coil resistence. EVen tells me how to go about doing that. Very handy thing that is. Cajun I owe you a beer when I can afford to buy one for you, same for you Mark.

Anyway the Stator coil was fine. Next step is too check the regulator/rectifier wich is mounted on the opposite side of the plate that my left side pillion peg is mounted on. I have no idea how to get it off and removing all visable bolts from that area isn't it. Nothing showing up in the manual either.
