I sold my GN on tardme, piece of piss and the boy bought his CBR from a dude off there too, all too easy.
It's pretty self explanatory, just put your reserve price on it and let it go to auction, you may get a pleasant surprised if it goes for more than your reserve. Good luck.

And before anyone says anything, YES I did a bloody search.

I am registered to login to Trade Me however I have never used it so I am not a verified/authenticated user (whatever that is?!). Basically I am selling my bike, I am going to leave it on only the Kiwi Biker and Sports Bike sites but in a weeks time if I havent sold it I want to put it up on Trade Me.
I know it costs to list a bike on Trade Me but can anyone tell me how much? Also how do I become a "Verified Member/authenticated "? Do I even need to?

Hi Str8,

If you put it on Trade me as an auction, give it a realistic starting price ie not too far below your reserve. I've seen so many things sold on there that have their starting price way too low and bidders end up losing interest. You also get the tyre kickers bidding whilst it is low and asking rediculous questions.
Also, if you decide to use buy now, make sure you put a realistic price. It's amazing the number of items that get sold instantly by buy now because it's not too high.
Example If you want $2000, use something like - $1800 starting, $2000 reserve, $2300 buy now. If you are happy to get the $2000, then $2300 is a bonus. Either that or you don't put a buy now and just sit back and wait and see.

or you just start at reserve, then everyone knows where they stand, i've succesfully sold 3 bikes on tardme like that, my sj50, sr250, and vt250, and soon will be selling my gpx250 but will probably list that one as a classified, as there were to many idiots asking stupid questions on the auction, and with classifieds, you can just ignore them

Sold 2 bikes, and brought 2 bikes off tardme.. Never had a problem.

Have sold a few bikes on Trademe and have noticed that the auctions usually work better than the classifieds. Realistic pricing is the key, decide the price you will accept and list that as reserve, starting not far below that.
