Thankyou Frosty and the rest of the crew for a really enjoyable day and experience.
Didn't really have any hairy moments so guess I wasn't going hard enough.
    But i love my bike
    I am stuffed.

Thanks all for putting on another good event.

Especially to Gixxer 4 Ever and Trumpy for getting my sorry ass back to the pits. And Madduck for trusting my jandalled self with her SV.

Hope everyone had a great time.
Saw loads of bikes and trailers being pulled on my way back into Auckland from Rotorua yesterday arvo...(as well as motorcross bikes and sprint cars....) Looked like Motorhead Heaven in the Bay.

Hey Frosty, thanks for the great day mate. Had an absolutely awesome time and improved my riding so much.

Anyone who didn't talk to me, or doesn't know who I am, I was the guy on the blue Honda Spada absolutely canig it and passing everyone. Sorry if I got a little too close to people, but to the guy on the blue R1 who got black flagged, grow up and stop showing off.

All in all, a great day. No chicken strips and fresh hero knob scrapes.

Yeh great day eh... weather looked a bit iffy to start with, but turned out great.

Managed to get my toe down in the second outing, and keep doing it so much after that I think I need some new toe-sliders

Only one adventure off the track for me, but kept her upright so no issues, got back on the track and had some more fun.

Damn that ride back was painful

You passed me just fine..........dammit. And there I was thinking I was starting to get a handle on this two wheeled stuff!
Good riding mate, you certainly looked like you were having a great time.

Thanks for a great day. Not just the riding but getting to put so many faces to the KB names - Anyway - I've just got home from riding back to Auckland so I'm going in a hot bath and won't be contactable for some time.

Thanks to Frosty and everyone else that made today possible.

Awesome wore out a whole kneeslider!

Thanks Frosty . You did it again (organised a great track day, not decapitated yourself)
I can recommend the Twin Peaks Motor Inn with a ripper Irish pub next door and top meal. heaps of the MX GP fans and riders there. Taupo just rocks as events central, so much going on in town.
Bloody hell that A1 full track is the biz. Loved it. Really pleased with my riding this time compared to the cold day in May. Got to love those chicanes aswell. Was grinding both kneesliders to dust with a grin from ear to ear doing it. I'd say that was the fastest I've gone on a track. That must be one of our best 'bike' tracks now with so many sweeping bends you just lean and lean and lean and...
Have to say 4 groups was too many though. I gave up waiting 60 mins for the next fast group session to come around. So I kept jumping into the earlier group. I reckon 3 groups is the right mix to ensure you don't have such a long gap between rides. I twice ran two sessions in a row but that was too much for the tyres to handle.
For thoses with the 05 and 06 model ZX6Rs I restored the 10hp to my bike before the track day and can confirm the rumours that our non-euro spec bikes are kneecapped to pass Yank standards. Took 10 minutes to hotwire the soft limiter that robs our bikes of 10hp from 13,000 revs to the 15,750 redline. Today was my first chance to test it and for sure the bike pulled harder to redline. If you want more details check out Kawiforums or pm me.
Watching Loosebruce and Sugi battle it out was fun too. You Guys are right up there with the best.

Almost turned out to be a disaster of a day for me, not being able to get my bike started 'til about 2:30pm...and then having to put it all back together...

Big ups to Bugjuice and Postie for helping me to get the bike going. It was good to learn a bit more about the mechanical stuff, and learn how to fix the problem in future if it ever comes up again.

Also big ups go out to Frosty for helping out a muppet with a bung bike.

Gosh that track is awesome....can't wait to go back.

Absolutely awesome day Frosty - organisation went really well, groups in and out on time, lunch provided, weather stayed good...etc. Big ups to you and the crew.

Thanks to Shaun for his adjustments and suggestions...worked a treat in that last session. Now it does feel like I'm in control of the bike not the bike in control of me!!

Can't wait for the next one!!!

Had a great time too. Starting to come to terms with the loss of 70-odd kg but same HP. Bike no longer feels so 'twitchy' and thoroughly enjoyed the pillion session too. Thanks to Frosty and his crew for another GREAT KB TRACKDAY.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
