Haha. Bet you don't call them that when they don't make the finals of the World Cup again.

Lovely day here! Haven't got Sky so can't watch. Radio is hard to get here so can't listen.
Just have to wait for the hourly news and "perhaps" they might tell us the score!
Sounds like they are getting too far ahead for the tricky French to turn it around. Go the Blacks. Cheers John.

ahh that may be .. but I am realistic to know they can not win every game .. but then I am happy to take it game by game

NZers are weird when it comes to supporting sports teams or sporting heroes. You lose and you are yesterdays dried marmite toast - even the birds aren't paying attention.

In Italy dried marmite toast is called crostini and you soften it up with olive oil and pesto. Then you drink chianti and discuss how classy the moves of your local 1st 5/8s were during your local team's 35th straight year of losing to the village next door.

Poppies mate. Admire them whilst they grow then axe 'em at the first sign of wilting. At least in sports we don't cut down the ones standing out above the rest of the field like we tend to do in more academic areas.

Just finished watching the Rugby. Can't say that the All Blacks played that well. It's just that the French played so poorly. Dropped balls, and I've seen school boy teams play better in the lineouts. Still a win is a win even if it is against a pack of girls.

I think the AB's had a great game.

French had a big possession and territory advantage but the AB defence was outstanding. Yes we dropped the ball a few times that could have resulted in more points, but to put on 47 and not concede a try against the number 2 team (how was that decided) in the world is impressive.

Thumbs up to the crowd there as well, they actually showed appreciation for a job well done.

Twas inded a great game. Still not sure of Luke Macalaster, but overall great game. You know a team is beaten when there's no backline and they end up going back 25m, then resorting to aimless kicking.

First of all let me say that I admire the AB's. They are definately the world's best at the moment. I'm not a particularly big Rugby fan - but I'll watch an international or two and as I chose to come and live here from the UK I find it difficult deciding who to support from my armchair. During the Lions tour I naturally "supported" (if you can call it that) the Lions but it was clear to me that the AB's are a far better team so all credit to them. But from another perspective it's like Schumacher was in Formula Dull ...er, sorry, One. In other words, "predictably boring". He was so good that it was boring - except for his ardent fans of course. Personally I'd love to see the AB's lose a few times. I think Jim2 is right about Kiwi supporters: AB's win and there is euphoria in the streets. AB's lose and the whole country goes into mourning and hate being ribbed about it. But I also think that the NZ media in particular have an ability to put down the underdog whatever the outcome of a match. When a team is up against the might of the AB's you might at least give them a bit of credit for trying even (if you did cane them) rather than resorting to derision and ridicule over their performance.
