Are you saying that I’m not allowed to have an opinion now on KB just because I’m with someone? Or that my opinion is not as valid as everyone elses in regards to the new ducati.

I don’t need to come to the rescue of Postie or anyone else but I will support those opinions which I think are valid and am equally entitled to disagree, and in this instance I have taken the stance that you are arguing for the sake of it, and that your personal attacks are beyond the call of a well argued debate showing your lack of a wider understanding and extreme prejudice.

I am not a Ducati fan in general but this bike, if it appears to be what they say it is will be well worthy and an awesome machine…

    Probably still wouldn’t want one thou…. 
Well Love....it goes like this.....'Postie' tells me to "at least get my facts straight".....while talking shit (magnesium cyl heads don't you know...!).

So he and I have had a great old time since.....you come along and 'red rep' me...ooohhhh no!......I simply think that's really sad. My personal attacks?

    Harden up.

when you say owned what do you mean?

the aprilia got a quicker lap time on one given track? fuckin whoopdie.

Masterbike always has been a load of shite. Fuck even a shitty kwaka won it a couple of times but for the last two years the gixxer has been widely acknowledged (by sales, race results and road tests) as the litre king.

it's not down to good marketing or "fanboys". not even suzuki are that good.

I did acknowledge your point and correct my mistake, you seem to be quite hung up on this point though. The thing is, your whole argument now is based on that point to which I have already agreed on and said that I had made a mistake for saying magnesium cylinder heads when in actual fact I should have said magnesium cylinder head covers.

My original point was the fact that you said why buy a bike if its not the best, all I was pointing out is that Ducati have obviously put a lot of work in to make sure it is the best it can be, which is a pretty high standard for any bike, but you got side tracked by the above explained cock up and it all went down hill from there.

    Ok...you've got me...one more post.
The new Ducati will be good. The 07 R1, CBR, ZX10 and GSXR will be too...let alone the new MV. They will ALL be better bikes than we are riders. But desmodronics while a great idea, are time consuming AND expensive to maintain. Most big Ducati's etc are bought for 'wank value' lets face it.
Big Japanese stuff is as good, at much less cost to purchase and maintain.
And don't even mention resale you Ducati people! We've got an 04 999 here with only 1200 km's on it that we're struggling to get 20k for.....

Anyone with too much money that wants the ultimate wank....buy a Ducati Moto GP Rep. The rest of you.....put the money you saved by buying a GSXR toward one.

I would consider that to be amateurish at best mate!
The 'ultimate' would surely have left your wrist with enough 'left' in the tank for an encore!

I suspect not. Ducati are saying the RRP is USD$14,995, which is less than the RRP on a 999 at the moment.

But who cares? We are happy looking like copycats on blue and white GSXRs..

I want to see you on a Ducati.

Like.. A clapped out 400SS. That would be a good bike for you. Not too fast. You won't crash that.
