Like Pickle (he was Doug Green then of course) I missed last year's ride - can't remember where I was at the time probably away somewhere, but here's the 2004 pics http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=7094

OK might make it this year - I've done most of them - have to see what I'm up to then. Highly recommended as a fun day out - I'm not a camper - refer the thread on preference - I'm a spa bath and queen size bed at motel type so normally do this as a day trip from Wellington.
    Cheers

I will be there again. Will be my third time.
Will take the tent this time. Was knackered when I got home last year, so might as well not have bothered to go home

I have organised a bunch of guys in Wellington (in a Government sponsored gang, Bonez knows what I mean) to come up too.

    Should be good (as always).

See you all there (may be).

Ah, I thought this thread was for the coast to coast race that we all know of, I am currently training a team for the 2007 race. Hopefully the boys will get in the top 5 for 07'

Sorry there Fishy, this is the only Coast to Coast I do these days.

Grab a Speights of Robin for me.

I will be enjoying my Speights at Akatio, and no where near as exhausted.
    Good luck with it though.

Note: I have never done the actual Iron-man event, but have done the course. It took me 4 days!

Looks like I will be a starter for this one. Havnt decided if I'm going to camp over or head home after - may depend on the weather.

If I ever get my bike back - I'll be there.

I'm heading up too, but this year I'm not staying the night so I'll be heading back down to Welly on the same day.

Closer to the time we should arrange a meeting point and ride up in together.

Nah she's a sweety, she wouldn't let me buy a new mountain bike as I'm supposed to be saving for a new motor bike and she hates motor bikes. I'll be there - just have to stay on this time not like Cold Kiwi

If anyone from Wellington is still planning on going to this...I'm going to be at BP Mana from around 8:15am and will depart from there at 8:30am.

You're more than welcome to join me for the ride up.

    Cheers
