    XMAS work wanted

I am looking for some work to tide me over till just before christmas. I can do anything from build/renovate houses to corporate work such as sales, business development blah blah blah.

I just want something to pay the bills that will be semi-relaxing (coming from hi-stress semi corporate environment). I am filling time wokring on my bikes as present...but i doubt i will get much more than a day outa that, so i gotta get my ass into gear and do something productive.

Also the wife has uni holidays, she is an intern doctor on semester break, so also wants work till just before christmas.

If you have something, let me know.
    Cheers, Brett

Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.

Try the temp agencies around Auckland. If you're willing to work, then they'll have work for you. Just depends on what you're willing to do. Just tell them what you're preferences are - type of work, hours you want etc...
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

Just send them an e-mail... Dunno what they are offering to pay as they havn't replied to me...

I tried to use Kelly temp agency in Albany a few months ago - They were shit, never even came back to me. I'd say try another one first if you do go that way. What about those market research companies? Like Consumer Link etc?

Nah i dont want to do anything like consumer link, i would much sooner work for myself doing house renno's, fences etc. This is only a break between stressful jobs.

I use Quin Workforce and Allied down here, only for weekend work. Quin supply staff for stevedoring and the rate is $16/hr (12 hour shift min.). That's good money for a temp but it's not every weekend. The general rate is about $11 - $14 /hr so it aint flash. If you get a permanent part-time job you're tied to those hours so you need to make sure they fit your life. That's the beauty of temp jobs - you can pick and choose.

I have some fencing and paving to do this xmas if you are interested in a few days work. Not sure of the timetable yet, as it depends on what else is happening over the christmas break (and money...)
