It happens everytime a political party is ousted from power - remember how much we wanted to get rid of Muldoon? And previously all those years of pompous Holyoake,my whole childhood was under the Holyoake rule....and I guess a lot of young people here have only known Helen Clark as Prime Minister,they would almost see it as a dictatorship.

It's the single version. Actually there were two versions on the White album weren't there - Revolution (disc 1) and Revolution Number 9 (disc 2).

A damn fine album. My favourite Beatles album, followed by Revolver, Rubber Soul and St Peppers.

I grew up with The Beatles playing a lot in the house. I learned to play guitar to their songs. Thankfully, my lead guitar skills are way better than George Harrison.

I grew up with The Beatles playing a lot in the house.

So did my girls - when we got in a guitar teacher for them (who became a family friend) my little girls were too shy to tell him their musical tastes,and a glance at our record cabinet gave him a clue.He ripped into a Chuck Berry intro and then did Revolution,their eyes lit up and he knew he'd have an easy job here.

Songs like Revolution and Imagine are a part of who I am,a hippy struggling in the modern world - I just don't know why the hell people can't get along.....
