Desperate Now - can anyone help

OK I'm getting really desperate now. Any that could go wrong with getting my bike back has and continues to do so. I am not surprised - this is par for the course for me, despite a positive attitude.

I really would like a bike over Xmas as I have 3 weeks off. Work in a legal firm and it is mandatory to take leave as they close down.

Anyway dealing with shear bureaucracy now. What I would like to borrow just purely for the revinning and re-registeration of the bike is:

R/hand rider footrest/brake master cylinder bracket (Bike shop says will require replacement )

I got my present one welded but they won't accept that. I can buy a second-hand one for $356 or get a brand new one that takes 10 days from Japan for $256. (I can't afford this at this point in time).

Tyres are not legal for re certification as they do not carry appropriate markings. I have Peter the crasher?? looking out for me - he hasn't got anything to date. Again, once reregistered and revinned, my old tyres will be going back on the bike.

Can anyone lend me some tyres that would pass a warrant and would match LTSA numbers!!!

There are a few other minor things like the back indicator lights are intermittent (brand new). They reckon the rear wheel bearings may need looking at - but then it could be the chain!! And funnily enough they won't accept my duck-taking of the front right fairing - 2 inches long in length so there isn't a gap!! lol (where's their sense of kiwi ingenuity!!).

I feel so cheeky asking but if I don't ask I won't receive - and I'm at the desperate stage now.

How the heck can people be allowed to sell new tyres that are apparently 'illegal' and the weld job on the peg hanger looked OK to me - We really are in the nanny state era...

I have lent BMW some ex proddy race tyres (Pilot race)
BMW was running some hand grooved slicks,hence the non legal bit,with no numbers on them & in bold print Not for Hightway Use

Cover blown. As far as I am concerned the tyres I had on the bike were extremely safe and had good grip =- even in wet weather. Actually preferred them to what I have had production wise in the past.

1. Fake an invoice, any mug that works in a legal office can do that
2. File back the weld so it's hidden
3. Get an expert opinion on the strength of the now dressed up weld
4. Paint brackets on both sides with some nice silver paint (or whatever)
5. Order a new part if expert in 3 didn't like the weld after you've dressed it enough to hide it.

If the intermittent nature is a result of dodgy wiring, fix it, otherwise take them back and get some that aren't stuffed out of the box.

That's just pathetic of them!! Get a black coat hanger and a soldering iron. Groove the break. Melt the hanger into the gap.
