    Southern Riders

At this stage the plan for Dunedin Sth riders is to meet at Lawrence (Wild Walnut cafe') at 10-10:30 at then cruise up to Alex for Lunch. Leave from the monument at around 1-1:30, over the Lindis etc.
I want to call in and invite the manager down to have a beer with us, and once we all get to the Shearers quarters we'll need a quick collection to buy some beer to cover the use of the place.
Lets hope the weather does its bit.
For anyone coming in from the Oamaru end, be aware you won't get fuel until Kurow (I very nearly ran out going up there last time to find this out!!). We'll probably fill up at Omarama.

The best place for lunch in Alex can be found by turning right imediately after crossing the bridge and heading past the Warehouse. If you dont stop or turn then you'll ride straight in the front door. The place used to called Bonney and Clyde's but its recently had a name change and I can't remember its new name. Their chicken salad is huge.

Stromfrau and I will meet you there at 12:00.

Well I was there YESTERDAY - and you weren't.

And Ruralman, I was heading home from Omarama - BEAUTIFUL day for a ride - until the Cromwell Gorge and the 'breeze' started.

And the rider of the *red sprotsbike that was intent in carving a fine line through the 40km bend - until he saw a large white Tequila Sunrise scraping its way around the bend from the opposite direction - sudden change of plan mid-bend for Mr Sprotsbike rider.

    * Looked like an old Ducati of the 80's or something like that, idb??
