You can be so hurtful sometimes - you KNOW how sensitive I am!!!!

And I've said it before and I'll say it again....when a Ducati breaks down it's called "character".....and my bike has more character than most.

Thats alright I wont tell anyone that it stopped at the top of the driveway to the Shearers quarters and you had to coast all the way down... At least it LOOKS good

What a great bunch of people, not a single drongo type any of them !!
(of course a few of us act like idiots at times - all part of the fun eh?)

But this has to be repeated next year - the experience was waay too good to NOT do it again - and I think all who went feel the same!!!

Thanks to Skyryder for instigating this KB meeting and also Oldrider for his assistance and carting the extra booze there in his truck, thanks to Ruralman for jack-up the accomodation, cherries etc and a special thanks to all that made the event what it was - one big blast of FUN!!!

Oh, and thanks too to 98tls for suggesting the minutes silence in memory of those rider no longer with us, notably those three from the hellish last week.

It's all about style, a Duke is like an Armani suit whereas a Hog/Buell is like a pair of Levis
    plus it's a 888

    Ma bloody head still hurts...

FARK me... bloody bloody, bloody bloody... shit hot weekend people
Saturday started out windy wet on and off sort a thing but figgered am I a real biker or not, so headed off to meet up.
Pulling into Rolly and the rain turned on frigen heavy and i was thinking well bikes dirty now might as well keep going.
Funnily enuff that patch of rain was about all we wore apart from the odd sprinkle, but never got wet all day.
Ride to Waimate was a bit mundane, but thats State highway 1 for ya. Waimate thru to Kurow and Otematata is an awesome wee stretch. At the Otematata had my first couple of beers for the day and waited for the southern lot to meet up. Headed down to the camp after they finally showed their faces, cos apparently we weren't cool enough to booze with
Chose a bunkroom in our 5 star hotel and hit the whisky

Sat evening Things that i have managed to remember from the evening include chatting to the newcomer Chris and jacking up a ride on the Victory, TWR dancing with a mop cos he spilled his beverages and food items, the pip spitting competition: I was first to invent the multi-fire-pip-spit however I failed miserably trying to hit the target.
After our minutes silence, we all sat in a circle like an AA congregation where we each explained the reason we were there.
What an awesome bunch of people, I very much enjoyed the time spent

Sunday My head was hurting, but managed to drag my arse in the shower and then had some breakie, slowly got my stuff together and headed off to Omarama for some real coffee.
Regrouped and headed off to Mt Cook. This is first time I have actually gone into the Hermitage (a very impressive building). This is a very fast piece of road, I today heard rumours of Woodybee hitting 210, Speedygirl doing 200
and Rashika doing 220...buts thats all more than likely the booze talking.
The head still hurt, and you probably gathered that it still does, so had another coffee and really enjoyed the ride out.
xknut offered his Victory... well ok I asked, so we swapped rides, tell ya what... different, and the DOHC engine would leave a Hog in the weeds, and what a racket sounded like a 2-1 Aprilla, not me but was different thats for real, hell a rides sweet regardless.
From then on the group slowly disbanded and we headed home on a perfectly brilliant day. Got home, washed the bikes and promptly fell into the sack.
    cheers DD
    (Definately Dodgy)

Yes, a very good idea. What I also liked is us going around one by one saying why we there there. I thought it was a great touch.

I would just like to thank Bruce for the venue, perfect. John for vor the work he put in to the signage, the running around he done in his truck for all of us, taking along the canals into Tekapo. Lastly to Bernard for putting forward a great idea and following it through.

Are you saying I did or did not snore??? Me off-sider of whom I am married reckons there is no way that I would not have snored, though I would fully denie participating in snoring, she often speaks of wishing me dead for fleeting moments in the middle of those dark hours.
I do remember sounds of you and TWR muttering at some early hour, but I was to far gone to make out any of the slurred english...

Bloody good, oh and thankyou for the help in getting those frikin panadol out of the box, hope they helped you just a weeny bit at least... I was only feeling slightly dehidrated, I needed them more to kill some pain from an opo' on my back earlier in the week.

I am still reflecting on a great weekend.
